We are seeking an experienced SAP BW/4HANA Lead to own the design, delivery, and assurance of data warehousing and integration across large-scale S/4HANA transformation programmes. This role is critical to enabling enterprise-wide data integrity, auditability, and performance for reporting, analytics, and compliance.The BW/4HANA Lead will be responsible for governing data modelling, extraction, transformation, and harmonisation across SAP S/4HANA, legacy systems, and external data sources. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical depth in SAP BW/4HANA with proven experience leading data design in secure or regulated environments (e.g. Defence, Public Sector, or Aerospace).Due to our clients, SC level Security clearable is mandatory for the role and for us to obtain this for you we can only consider sole UK Nationals that have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years consistently. About the RoleThis is a senior consulting role that provides end-to-end ownership of the SAP BW/4HANA landscape — from architecture and design through build, optimisation, and transition to support. You will collaborate closely with Finance, HR, Procurement, and Project Systems leads to define data structures and semantic layers that support analytics and reporting objectives.

    The BW/4HANA Lead will also define and enforce data governance standards, manage the integration with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and DataSphere, and ensure the performance and reliability of data pipelines across environments (Dev, QA, Prod, Secure Hosting).Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and implementation of SAP BW/4HANA data models, including ADSOs, CompositeProviders, InfoObjects, and Open ODS Views.Oversee data extraction and transformation from S/4HANA, legacy ERPs, and external systems via ODP, CDS Views, or BTP-based connectors.Define and optimise data flows, ETL logic, and transformation layers for performance and data quality.Ensure data governance and lineage traceability in line with audit and regulatory requirements.Coordinate the integration of BW/4HANA with SAP Analytics Cloud, DataSphere, and Embedded Analytics.Develop and enforce naming conventions, modelling standards, and performance tuning guidelines.Manage offshore and nearshore delivery teams, ensuring adherence to design and performance standards.Support cutover, reconciliation, and hypercare, ensuring accuracy of data loads and analytics outcomes.Provide thought leadership on data architecture evolution (e.g., BW Bridge to DataSphere migration readiness).Experience & Skills RequiredDemonstrated experience delivering SAP BW/4HANA in large-scale S/4HANA transformation or regulated environments.Deep understanding of data modelling, ETL frameworks, data staging, and harmonisation.Hands-on experience with BW/4HANA Objects, HANA modelling, and native SQL scripting.Familiarity with BTP data integration services (CPI-DS, SDI, SDA) and hybrid data architecture.Integration experience with SAP SAC, DataSphere, and S/4HANA Embedded Analytics.Strong understanding of data governance, master data alignment, and audit traceability.Exposure to data migration and reconciliation strategies for Finance, HR, and Logistics datasets.Excellent analytical skills with proven ability to troubleshoot performance issues in data loads.Tools & MethodologiesSAP BW/4HANA, S/4HANA CDS Views, HANA Studio, Eclipse IDE, BTP CPI-DS.SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and DataSphere integration.Solution Manager, JIRA, Confluence, Signavio for governance and collaboration.SAP Activate and Agile delivery methodologies.QualificationsDegree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or IT.·SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP BW/4HANA or Data Warehousing preferred.Data management or cloud data integration certifications (e.g., SAP BTP, Azure Data Factory) advantageous.Stakeholder & Soft SkillsStrong client-facing communication and data storytelling capability.Ability to lead workshops with business stakeholders, architects, and analytics teams.Detail-oriented, quality-driven, and comfortable working in secure, multi-environment programmes.Collaborative leader with experience managing multi-location teams and mentoring data engineers.Why DXC Technology?At DXC, you’ll join a team that values innovation, collaboration, and impact.
