About the Role:DS Smith are looking for a fantastic HR leader to join our Poland business; the HR Manager, Poland will ensure commercial and business engagement and supporting Country plans whilst driving the Country people objectives. The successful candidate will support the Sub-region HR Director in developing the HR Strategy and in wider business projects, facilitating close working relationships with Centres of Excellence and Country Service Delivery models to optimise resource and Country engagement.Key Responsibilities: Driving the HR Corporate Plan within the Country – implement the HR Corporate plan and People plans with Country leadership.Responsible for all HR activities including performance management, employee relations, reward, and succession planning, working closely with the sub-regional Talent Partner on talent acquisition and development.Be a true business partner to the Country – Supporting and advising Country Leadership, Site General Managers and functional managers in their organisation development activities.Business improvement – Work with Country and Sub-regional HR colleagues to deliver business improvement solutions, focusing on management capability.Data & Compliance – Ensure compliance with all key HR policies and processes and keeping abreast of changes in HR legislation.Employee and Industrial Relations – Drive the agenda across Poland, using employee engagement surveys and manage employee representative bodies such as Works Councils and recognised trade unions.Collaboration - Engage with Centres of Expertise to build specialist capability/support in the Country and Shared Service teams to maximise service delivery.Leadership - Lead and coach the site HR business partners and Country payroll team. Provide mentoring and coaching, establishing development goals and builds talent pipeline.About You:University degree or EquivalentPost Graduate HR Qualification preferredIn-depth generalist experience with good knowledge of operational HR processes.Experience in leading and implementing HR change processes (Organisation Design and Selection, HR Information Systems implementation, reorganisation)Significant experience in HR Management roles, leading teams, and has operated in a manufacturing/engineering environment with a large direct workforce.Transformation and cultural change experience is preferableAbility to drive and facilitate a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvementStrong Commercial AcumenA practical and pragmatic problem solver with an innate ability to think strategically. Possess a willingness to challenge and value diverse perspectives.Good knowledge of labour legislation.Fluency in Polish and English is essential, with further languages preferred.
