You will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of white goods (washing machines, dishwashers, fridge freezers) to high-street stores rather than large distribution centres. This is a versatile role requiring a strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills. Key Responsibilities Deliveries: Safely transport white goods from the depot to various customer locations, ensuring timely and accurate arrival. Loading/Unloading: Handle products with care using specialized equipment (trolleys/straps). Note: You will generally be single-crewed, though a second person will be provided for heavier goods. Vehicle Safety: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks; maintain vehicle cleanliness and operational status. Customer Service: Act as the face of the company, providing professional and courteous service, communicating delivery times, and handling product placement. Documentation: Accurately complete delivery notes, obtain customer signatures, maintain delivery logs, and report any issues or delays promptly. Working Hours Start Time: 06:00 (approx. 9-hour shifts). Pay Rates: Standard (06:00 - 20:00): £16.52 per hour Unsocial (20:00 - 06:00): £19.85 per hour Bank Holidays: £22.51 per hour About You Licence: Valid Category C (Class 2) licence. Experience: Minimum 1 year of HGV experience (less may be considered if DNI covered). Compliance: Must have a valid DVLA check and be able to provide necessary documentation.
