    Description About you and this role As a member of the Site Services Department, you would be part of a plant-wide team that provides support for the Bristol Site’s manufacturing operation through the packaging and distribution of our products to meet Dow Coatings Business objectives in a safe, efficient, cost-effective and environmentally sound manner. Successful performance requires an individual to work effectively in an empowered, team-based, and ever-changing working environment. Site Services Department personnel are expected to complete other tasks to ensure safe and effective operation of the plant, such as issuing work permits, conducting inspections, training, writing procedures, and supporting continuous improvement efforts through individual efforts and teams. The job also requires a high level of communication and interpersonal effectiveness in the frequent interactions with mechanics, activity coordinators and reactor operators. This position will work in a Union environment.Responsibilities - Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role.Operating drum and tote packaging linesForklift operationReceiving packaged raw materials and packagesStaging packaged raw materials and suppliesPreparing packaged goods shipments (stretch wrapping, staging, labeling, etc.)Loading/shipping packaged trailersLoading/shipping bulk liquid containersBasic SAP Transactions (label printing, shipping, receiving)Inventory cycle countingHose connection and valve operationsCleaning equipmentRoutine non-craft maintenancePerforming complete housekeeping dutiesMeeting regulatory requirementsWork assignmentsEmployee orientation & trainingMaintain daily records and reportsOther task as assignedRequired Qualifications - Required education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves).A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Must have a current, valid US driver’s license.A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.Preferred Skills - An expanded list of qualifications that are "nice to have", but not essential.1 year of forklift experience preferred.Prior experience in manufacturing, chemical or similar is preferred.The physical abilities, with or without reasonable accommodations, include:Must be willing and able to work in such environments wearing safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes.Must be willing and able to use respirators. Must be willing and able to work in such environments with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.Must be willing and able to work in such environments working in tight or closed-in spaces.Must be willing and able to climb stairs/ladders and working high off the ground.Must be willing and able to stand or walk for extended periods of time. Essential functions of this position may require, among other things, that you use particular types of equipment -- such as on-site safety equipment that has specific weight limitations whereby your own weight, plus the weight of tools and other items and materials, must not exceed a certain threshold. (For example, some types of safety equipment may be rated for a maximum weight limit of 300 pounds total.)
