We are currently looking for Senior Residential Child Care Workers to join our services in Barnsley.Main responsibilitiesComplete key domestic duties on a day-to-day basis that ensure a homely environment is maintainedEncourage the development of individual interests and attitudes by planning, organising and participating in activitiesTo promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of each young person in accordance with Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018. To assess individual needs and contribute to care and risk plansEstablish and maintain positive and trusting relationships with the young peopleManage behaviour positively and assertively by working in line with specified care and risk management plansConsult with young people to promote the development of a healthy lifestyleMotivate and assist young people in developing and sustaining positive networks with adults and peer groups, including familiesParticipate in the development, implementation and review of packages of care through team meetings, supervisionsAttend, and where necessary advocate for the Young Person, in child care reviewsAll applicants must haveUnderstanding and commitment to the role, which is 24/7, including weekends and bank holidays.
