This is a senior leadership role with real influence, owning the commercial health of the Client Services function, shaping long-term client partnerships, and driving profitable, sustainable growth across a diverse international portfolio.
About the Role
As Director of Client Services, you’ll sit at the heart of the agency’s leadership team, responsible for setting the standard for client partnership, operational excellence and commercial performance.
You’ll lead a senior Client Services team, act as the most senior escalation point for key global clients, and work closely with executive leadership to optimise delivery, margins and growth. This role blends strategic thinking with commercial rigour and is ideal for someone who thrives in high-growth, culturally driven agency environments.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and evolving the Client Services function, setting clear standards for delivery, governance and client leadershipOwning the commercial performance of the department, including revenue growth, margin delivery and account healthBuilding trusted, long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders at C-suite and Board levelDriving operational discipline across resourcing, forecasting, utilisation and financial accuracyIdentifying growth opportunities across existing accounts and developing multi-year commercial strategiesPartnering with Strategy, Creative and Delivery teams to ensure integrated, insight-led workChampioning best-in-class ways of working and continuously improving the client experienceCoaching and developing senior client leaders, building a high-performance and accountable cultureSkills & Experience Required
12+ years’ experience in senior client leadership or commercial roles within a creative, advertising or marketing agencyProven track record managing complex, multi-million-pound client portfoliosStrong experience building and maintaining senior client relationships at C-suite and Board levelExcellent commercial and financial acumen, including forecasting, P&L ownership, margin optimisation and negotiationExperience leading and developing senior client teams in fast-paced, high-growth environmentsA strong understanding of sport, gaming, entertainment and culture, and how audiences influence brand behaviourConfident leadership presence with the ability to influence at the highest level
Salary & Location
Salary: Up to £120,000 - £150,000 + bonusLocation: Manchester/LondonWorking Pattern: Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in the Manchester office)Contract: Full-time, permanent
