    Join our Rescue Breakdown Claims Team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you’ll handle customer calls from the moment of claim registration through to providing essential support during their time of need, ensuring a smooth and efficient claims process.
    Monday to Sunday – We are a 24-hour business - Which can include various shifts between 6am - 10pm

    What You'll Be Doing
    In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for our customers experiencing a breakdown. You'll handle their calls with empathy and professionalism, gathering essential information and providing tailored solutions to get them back on the road as quickly and smoothly as possible. You'll manage the initial stages of their breakdown claim, guiding them through what can be a stressful time and ensuring they feel supported.
    You'll also be responsible for assessing the immediate needs of the customer, setting clear expectations about the assistance they will receive, and ensuring the appropriate breakdown recovery service is dispatched efficiently.

    What You’ll Need
    Able to thrive in a busy and changing environment & adhere to targets. A strong team player with a positive attitude & keen to learn. Experience with phone systems, call queues, and other relevant technologies is beneficial. Clear, articulate, and professional telephone manner. Ability to convey information accurately and concisely. Ability to ask the right questions to gather all necessary information about the breakdown (location, vehicle details, nature of the problem, safety of the occupants) To be able to assess the situation quickly and determine the appropriate course of action. Passionate about providing outstanding customer service – someone who takes pride in doing a great job and always puts the customer first, especially when they're in a vulnerable situation. Comfortable using computers and online systems, with good IT skills and experience using software such as Microsoft Outlook and Word. Open to new ideas and ways of working, with a desire to contribute to improving the customer experience. Contact centre experience is beneficial. While not essential, having a valid UK driving licence and experience of driving on UK roads would be helpful, as it provides a better understanding of the challenges our customers face.

    What You’ll Be Doing
    As a valued member of the team, you’ll contribute to the delivery of the Home Insurance strategy through accurately and efficiently implementing changes to the Radar rating algorithm.
    Key Responsibilities
    Take ownership for building, maintaining, and monitoring the Radar Live rating engine so that it is compliant, accurate and efficient Ensure comprehensive model testing is run/validated to prove out all change Support in the enhancement of processes, including testing to create efficiency whilst maintaining accuracy Excellent spoken and written skills so to support engagement with various stakeholders and the wider Pricing & Underwriting community, to ensure alignment with approaches Contributing to overall Department/DLG wide objectives, strategies and priorities.     We’re looking for a Technical Accounting Manager with deep Solvency II and insurance experience to join our External Reporting team. This is a key role in delivering our Public and PRA Solvency II reporting, managing our offshore reporting team, and ensuring we meet our regulatory and governance obligations on time and to a high standard.
    What You’ll Be Doing
    Lead delivery of Public and PRA Solvency II reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Provide expert technical accounting advice across Finance, Risk, and Tax, interpreting Solvency II and IFRS requirements. Review and approve Solvency II balance sheet, own funds, journals, and tax computations prepared offshore. Oversee QRT submissions to the PRA and support Audit and Disclosure Committee reporting. Manage the coordination and sign-off process for the Solvency and Financial Condition Report (SFCR). Support governance, control and assurance frameworks for external reporting. Partner with onshore and offshore teams to drive continuous improvement in reporting quality and efficiency.

    What You’ll Need

The duties also include supporting the Team Leader in managing the team and developing technical capability.Reporting directly to the Commercial Claims Team Leader, you'll:Triage new large and technical property claims.Manage end-to-end handling of retained technical claims.Spot and escalate potential fraudulent activity.Investigate claims, negotiate indemnity and liability, and identify recovery opportunities.Help shape and improve our overall claims handling strategy.Support technical development through case clinics, audits, and sharing legal/technical updates.Maintain strong control of indemnity spend and accurate reserving.Manage customer and third-party expectations throughout the claim lifecycle.Meet all regulatory timescales and compliance requirements.Act as a technical mentor and referral point for colleagues.Focus on your own development to support our centre-of-excellence standards.Keep customer experience and Consumer Duty principles at the core of your work.Achieve departmental targets and contribute to team performance.Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach.
