SummaryWe are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking professional to join our People Services team as an Assistant HR Officer – Projects. This is a full time 6-month secondment (37 hours per week), offering a salary starting at £33,699 (Grade 5 – subject to Job Evaluation).

You’ll provide high-quality project and operational support across People Services, helping deliver improvement initiatives, policy development, and people focussed projects. Working collaboratively, you’ll help ensure fair, consistent and effective practices across the Service.

Key responsibilities:
Project Support: Coordinate and support People Services projects, ensuring activities are organised and aligned to priorities
Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
Gather, analyse and report on workforce data and project progress.
Support workshops, engagement activities, and consultation processes.
Prepare clear updates and reports for stakeholders.
Help implement improved processes, tools and templates.
Identify trends, risks and opportunities to enhance employee experience. HR Support: Provide timely advice and guidance to managers and employees
Support meetings, including scheduling, documentation and note-taking.
Maintain accurate records in line with data protection requirements.
Contribute to digital system improvements within People Services.
Keep up to date with HR best practice and employment law.
