    An AAT qualification and a good knowledge of financial accounting techniques and methods is required.
    Experience of computerised financial systems and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and data manipulation, is essential.

    This is a part time position as part of a small Finance technician team responsible for carrying out various reconciliations between the finance system and other systems for the council.
    The finance technician team are responsible for logging all insurance claims received in the council and providing support for any insurance queries.
    The team carry out Direct Debit runs, treasury management duties and finance system set ups, password resets and general user queries each week, and this role will take a share in that rota. About the team:
    The finance technician role is an important role within the wider Financial Services team. Financial Services provides comprehensive accountancy support to services across the Council and its subsidiary companies.
