    BMC Software Sales Academy If you want to learn life-long skills that will equip you for jobs of the future, the Software Sales Academy is for you. This academy is a great way to get industry-recognised training before entering the workplace or changing career. Training The Software Sales Assured Skills Academy is an intensive eight-week training course providing practical knowledge and real-world experience required to work in the sector. All candidates will complete training relevant for the job role of a Sales Development Representative (SDR) that includes: customer understanding value buyers sales funnel prospecting outbound and pipeline execution sales methodology and processes problem solving and simulation for employer readiness Company information The supporting companies for the academy are: First Derivatives (An Epam Company) Everway ComplyFirst Version 1 Analytic Engines Cloudsmith SciLeads Workplus Those who successfully finish Assured Skills Academies are guaranteed a job interview with participating companies. Offers of employment will be at the discretion of the companies following the interview. Applicants should note that the job roles available are not eligible for skilled worker sponsorship. Training allowance Those taking part in the academy will receive a weekly training allowance of £185 for the length of the academy, as well as help towards travel and childcare expenses where people qualify. Key dates Information session and interview dates Belfast Metropolitan College (BMC) will invite eligible applicants to an information session and interview towards the end of June 2026. Training dates Training will take place from Monday 3 August to Friday 25 September 2026 at BMC's E3 campus and will be classroom based. Training hours are from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm every weekday. Successful applicants must be available for the whole training period. Who can apply Applicants must: be at least 18 years old have a right to work and to undertake Assured Skills Training in the UK at the point of application not be disqualified from doing either by reason of their immigration status Essential criteria strong communication skills and ability to build rapport quickly self-driven and resilient and motivated by targets organised with a disciplined approach to managing activity Desirable criteria degree in business or engineering or IT or a related field experience in a customer-facing role interest in the technology or software sector Applications are welcome from everyone who meets the essential criteria and are particularly welcome from people returning to work after caring for their children or other family members. This academy is a great way to get industry-leading training before entering the workplace or changing career. Training The AI and Data Academy with EY is fully funded by the Department for the Economy and delivered in partnership with Belfast Metropolitan College (BMC). The Academy is an eight-week intensive training course and will take place onsite at Belfast Metropolitan College Campuses along with some online tuition. Candidates selected to join the academy will receive practical skills, training and industry recognised qualifications in areas such as: SQL Python Microsoft Azure Generative AI Databricks Those taking part will get a weekly training allowance of £185 for the length of the Academy, as well as help with travelling and childcare costs where people qualify. If you successfully complete the course, you will be guaranteed a job interview with EY for a Financial Services Technology Consulting role. Applicants should note the job roles available are not eligible for skilled worker sponsorship. Successful completion of the academy is not a guarantee of gaining employment. Who can apply No previous experience is needed but you must: be at least 18 years old on 2 July 2026 have been awarded at least a foundation degree in any subject at the point of application have a right to work and to undertake Assured Skills Training in the UK at the point of application and not be disqualified from doing either by reason of their immigration status proof of this status will be required to progress to interview have appropriate IT access to link to online tuition Applicants should be aware that the company may apply additional right to work criteria at point of employment, and a job offer is not guaranteed.
