    The Vacancy As a Logistics Operative you will be responsible for all internal and external movements of goods and materials ensuring all are processed correctly and reconciled onto the ERP system. You will maintain all relevant standards and SOP’s ensuring that the physical counts and ERP levels align in order to deliver % stock accuracy ensuring that any defects are not passed into the manufacturing process. Key accountabilitiesCheck incoming materials/deliveries for conformance to standard, ensuring the paperwork is reflective of what is being received are correctly labelled and that they fully adhere to the supplier’s specification. Manage the segregation and release process of any defect goods in accordance with the Quality procedures Ensure all stock returned from WIP areas and direct to supplier are secured in the correct area relevant to that product, correctly labelled and aligned on ERP Manage the rotation of component parts for press and other machinery within the manufacturing processes. (Impression cylinders rubbers and sleeves)  Ensure that goods being dispatched are to the required standard and match the goods listed on the delivery note Safeguard that waste is correctly disposed of (including operating the granulating machine in line with the SOP) and that different categories of waste are identified, segregated and stored prior to removal from site. Ensure despatches / Sales orders are completed to achieve OTIF. To carry out stocktaking on a daily/monthly basis Load vehicles for incoming/outgoing deliveries Support machine set-up’s by ensuring stock and component parts are ready for press in line with production targets Plan and book the collection of external waste collections through the Shipping Coordinator and Logistics Team No1/FLMThe above list is not exhaustive.     The Vacancy Role Purpose To ensure that all plant and equipment is maintained to maximise productivity and quality in a safe environment. Reporting directly to the Engineering FLM the role requires you to act on your own initiative referring to Project Engineers for technical or departmental policy advice only when necessary. Liaising with staff from other departments as required to carry out duties and to refer to Process Leaders or other designated staff when necessary concerning potential loss of production, quality problems or health and safety issues. Key Accountabilities To always act and behave in a way compliant with all De La Rue company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to Environmental Health and Safety, ethics and Code of Business Principles. To carry and document out routine health and safety checks. Be familiar with the high risks associated with an ATEX environment. Production engineering. Providing technical assistance to production personnel to help with production problems. Stocks / purchasing. Maintaining stocks of engineering maintenance parts. Preparing purchase requisitions to maintain levels of stock parts or parts for particular jobs. To maintain production plant and equipment. Diagnosing any mechanical or electrical failure through root cause analysis. Undertaking repairs as necessary. Changing worn parts that are reducing the performance of the equipment. Diagnosing when preventative maintenance may be required and to carry out and document the necessary work. Liaising with suppliers when required to repair and / or maintain equipment. To maintain the site and buildings. The above list is not exhaustive. You will be required to undertake other duties within your capabilities, consistent with this role, to support the needs of the business. Competences and Experience HNC/HND in Engineering or Electronics or equivalent qualifications. Craft apprenticeship or equivalent. Sound understanding of field demonstrated through previous work experience. FLT Licence. Experience of computerised maintenance management systems. Knowledge of Asset Care programmes. Experience with pneumatics & hydraulics. Control techniques and Allen Bradley would be advantageous. Exceptional problem solving skills. Courtesy and tact to exchange information within direct team and to other closely related teams. Motivated and enthusiastic in driving continuous improvements. Team player with good communication skills as well as having the ability to work alone. A multi-skilled engineering role which knowledge of both mechanical and electrical engineering. Read Less
