This role is all about turning vision into reality, ensuring that planned features are delivered effectively, on time, and to the highest quality standard.We have big plans to make Dayshape the most powerful, flexible, and rapid-to-deploy solution in our sector, and you’ll play a key part in making that happen.As a Product Owner, you’ll be embedded in one of our multidisciplinary teams, working closely with Engineering, QA, support and the wider product department. Your primary focus will be delivery—making sure roadmap features move from concept to reality, smoothly and efficiently.You’ll work alongside Product Managers and Technical Leads to ensure that priorities are clear, requirements are well understood, and progress is maintained.Our multidisciplinary Product Development teams work across a broad spectrum of product deliverables, but visions and plans mean nothing if they aren’t delivered, and your role will be to steer that delivery, by understanding the requirements and customer value of each feature.What you’ll do Own the day-to-day delivery of roadmap features within your team.Work very closely with the Tech Lead and Product Manager to consider the capacity, capabilities and characters of your team; working together to plan and prioritise the delivery of the work with the team.Create, maintain, and prioritise the product backlog, which includes user stories, features, and defects.Write clear, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that engineering teams can act on confidently.Actively identify and mitigate risks or roadblocks that could impact delivery.Review and test new features with QA to ensure they meet customer needs and quality standards.Share product knowledge internally and externally, answering questions and clarifying requirements.Participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews).Champion good software development practices and ensure delivery aligns with technical and UX standards.The role will require a highly organised and adaptable communicator with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of software development practices to ensure the effective delivery of complex product features in line with the roadmap.About you You will have a passion for delivering enterprise-grade products that improve people’s working lives. You will: Have strong analytical and business process skills, with experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.Have demonstrable experience as a Product Owner (or equivalent role) in a technology company.Be highly adaptable—comfortable moving between internal stakeholder meetings, customer calls and technical discussionsBe an exceptional communicator, able to build trust, challenge others and explain complex ideas clearly.Understand software development fundamentals and be comfortable discussing technical concepts.Have experience working with Atlassian / product management tools such as Jira and Jira Product Discovery, Miro, etc…Intelligent and quick to grasp new concepts, and always looking to understand the underlying “why” in any situation.Be detail-oriented and logical, able to break down large challenges into manageable steps.Operate effectively both independently and as part of a team.Dayshape is hiring multiple product owners with different experience / expertise levels.For one role it would be essential to have hands on experience with API’s including documentation and integration developmentFor the other, we are looking for a more generalist ideally having worked with front-end development teams.Bonus Points if you: Have worked in/with the professional services industry.Have experience with complex financial or project management software.Understand product analytics and how to use data to inform decisions.

We have grand ambitions to make Dayshape the most usable, scalable, flexible and rapid to deploy solution on the market, and we’re not there yet. Our tech leads are great with people, helping to elevate their team and the work they do, as well as being able to get stuck in technically. This role is a mix of technical and people leadership, leading a product engineering team that will operate in a particular area of the product. We are hiring for across several teams, so the team’s area of focus will differ. We also tend to review focus areas at least once a year, so this will change throughout your career at Dayshape. As examples, the focus areas could span a new module for the product, several more focused features, or continuing a significant migration in our UI. What you’ll do As a Tech Lead, you will lead, and work collaboratively with, your cross-functional team to plan and deliver new features and enhancements. You will take ownership of features and technical initiatives and make sure they are successful.The time split between technical planning and delivery, and line-management will depend on the size of your team. Initially, as we build up the teams, you will be more hands on, adjusting the split as the size of the team increases. Some of the teams will naturally be smaller than others due to the nature of the work, so please highlight to us in your application or during the interview process if you have a preference for remaining more-hands on, or if you are happy to adjust your style to the size of the team. In this role you will: Manage a software engineering team, line managing 2-6 software engineers, including 1:1s and supporting personal development planning. Provide expertise and input into our architecture, design, and technology decisions. Work as part of the Engineering leadership team to identify, set, and drive objectives and key results. Work with your team's product manager (and the rest of the team) on prioritisation, scoping of product features Analyse, code, test, and release new product features, enhancements, and improvements Assist with technical, functional and design activities with our professional services team, product managers, and customers Help us manage the entire lifecycle of features and product releases Interview and hire additional software engineers Champion our culture of learning, development, cross-company collaboration and teamwork.  About you Direct line management experience is not essential, but you must be able to demonstrate experience as a leader. Emotional intelligence, cross team collaboration as well as the ability to help align team priorities are key parts of this role. Strong full-stack developer, ideally closely matching our tech stack.
