Our partners and senior staff regularly provide extensive litigation services and expert witness testimony in courts, arbitrations and mediations throughout the world.
We are currently seeking a German-speaking Staff Accountant to join our team in London. This role is hybrid working 3-4 days a week from our London office.
Key Responsibilities
Preliminary to intermediate analysis of sales, production and other accounting data
Physical inventory observation, price testing
Examination of source documents pertinent to engagement
Check and proof reports and schedules
Conduct phone, video or in person interviews to obtain information
Research, data analysis and evaluation
Invoice analysis
Attend marketing events and functions with clients
Adhoc tasks as per business requirements
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Soon to be, or recent Bachelors and/or Masters degree graduate, ideally in Accounting (or similar)
Previous internship or paid-work experience in a professional environment (finance-related, advantageous)
The ability to communicate at a professional level in both written and verbal German
Working towards, or willingness to work towards a professional qualification such as ACA, CIMA
Ability to understand (or previous experience of) how loss events impact a business
Demonstrable attention to detail and analytical skills
Tenacious in solving problems and getting to the root cause of issues
Good communication skills
Demonstrable ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
Comfortable working to tight deadlines and in sometimes pressurised environments
Willingness to accept increasing responsibility as experience grows
Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook & MS Teams
