About the Role Crown Workspace is a specialist division within Crown Worldwide Group focused on the management, relocation, and transformation of workplace environments. Through tailored solutions, you will work to ensure businesses experience minimal disruption during moves and enjoy productive, well-organised workspaces. We are recruiting highly motivated, experienced supervisors to lead our moves team. Although based in Wolverhampton you will be required to travel to various locations which may involve the occasional overnight stay. About the Role As a Team Leader/ Driver in the removals industry, you will lead and oversee crews during domestic and international relocations, ensuring safe handling, packing, and transport of items in line with company standards and export regulations. The role involves allocating tasks, managing workflow, maintaining documentation, and upholding health and safety protocols, while providing professional client support and clear communication throughout the moving process. What You’ll Do Leadership & Supervision: Lead and supervise removals crews, allocating tasks, managing workflow, and ensuring adherence to all safety procedures and company standards during relocation projects. Packing & Preparation: Oversee and support the packing and preparation of items, including delicate or high-value goods, ensuring compliance with export regulations and the use of appropriate protective materials and techniques. Custom Packaging: Guide and assist with the assembly and utilisation of custom-built crates and specialist packaging to safeguard items in transit. Loading & Site Safety: Manage the safe and efficient loading and unloading of goods, maintaining a secure working environment and enforcing health and safety protocols on-site. Logistics Coordination: Liaise with drivers, operations, warehouse teams, and clients to coordinate logistics and ensure the smooth execution of the removal schedule. Documentation & Client Communication: Maintain accurate documentation, including packing inventories and delivery paperwork, using company systems and delivering clear, professional communication to clients throughout the process. What We’re Looking For Removals industry experience preferred – as will involve carrying, lifting and moving. Previous team leader or supervisory experience within the industry. The Role The role of Fine Art Removals Operative is responsible for helping businesses move their belongings from one location to another. This role is physically demanding and often involves working as part of a team. What you will do: Packing and unpacking items safely and efficiently. Loading and unloading furniture, boxes, and equipment onto and off removal vans. Disassembling and reassembling furniture when necessary. Driving removal vehicles (if licensed). Ensuring items are protected during transit using blankets, straps, and padding. Following health and safety procedures to prevent injury or damage. Providing excellent customer service, including answering questions and handling items with care. Our Removals Operative programme will provide you with the skills to support and engage within different parts of the organisation. This apprenticeship can help you develop the necessary skills required for a career in Fine Art Removals. During this course, you'll learn to different types of removals and to communicate and negotiate in a professional business environment. The flexibility and responsiveness required allows you to develop a wide range of skills. You will spend time one of Workspace or Fine Art Business’ and we will provide extensive training, guidance and support, as well as the opportunity to experience the industry from the inside and gain valuable work experience. Skills Physical fitness and stamina. Teamwork and communication skills. Attention to detail to avoid damage or loss. Basic DIY skills (e.g., using tools to dismantle furniture).
