Care Worker
Locations : Across Perth and Kinross
Office and training base : 67 Adamson Avenue, Bertha Park, Perth, PH1 0AL
Pay : SVQ Level 2 qualified : £14.06 per hour weekdays before 6.00pm; £15.06 per hour after 6.00pm weekdays and at weekends. Non-SVQ : £13.80 per hour weekdays before 6.00pm; £14.80 per hour after 6.00pm weekdays and at weekends
Contracts: Flexible full-time, part-time, and bank contracts available. Working patterns are arranged according to individual availability and service requirements.
The higher rates are paid to colleagues who already hold SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.

As a Crossroads Colleague, you will:
Provide high-quality, person-centred support in people's own homes
Support with personal care and daily routines
Help people take part in activities and remain connected to their community
Build positive and respectful relationships with the people we support, their families, and unpaid carers
Communicate effectively with relatives, colleagues, and other professionals
Work safely, professionally, and confidentially
The people we support include older people, children, people with physical disabilities, and people with additional support needs.

Essential requirements:
Full UK driving licence
Access to a car with business insurance for work
Right to work in the UK
Able to communicate effectively in English for care delivery and record-keeping
SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential
Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), or willing to apply for registration within three months of starting employment
If you do not already hold SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, we will fund and support you to work towards this qualification
The successful applicant must be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme before carrying out the role
