We’ve got the perfect opportunity for you!Our Shared Lives and Short Breaks service are looking for a Shared Lives Assessor to join their team. This is a home-based role with travel across the Glasgow area, so we will need you to live within a reasonable commute of Glasgow.
    The RoleAs one of our assessors you’ll be responsible for assessing, training and supporting potential shared lives carers through their applications, assessments and panel processes.
    You’ll ensure that our future carers have the right values, understanding, motivation and passion to step in to their caring role. You’ll manage your portfolio of allocated Shared Lives arrangements, including providing direction, guidance and support to the carers to ensure that exceptional standards of support is delivered to the individuals within their care.Part of your role will also involve visiting our carers regularly within their own homes. You’ll support, develop and monitor the arrangements in place while making sure that they have the tools to promote safe, person-centred support and care to the individuals.

    Due to the complex care needs within our service, we're looking for people who bring experience of providing care and support within the Health & Social Care sector who have the confidence to lone work and manage behaviours that can challenge.

    We will also need you to bring a commitment to studying for and achieving an SVQ (SCQF level 7) and completing training and further qualifications which are identified as essential for our service. We will fund and support you with any training and qualifications you'll need and we will even reimburse your yearly SSSC registration fees!

    Shift Patterns

    Sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and you’ll receive an additional sleepover payment of £100.80 per night.

    About You

    It would be great if you have previous experience within an HR setting, but this isn't essential if you're bringing a strong administrative background, sound attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

    There will be occasions that we'll need you to travel to other Cornerstone branch locations for meetings and training (travel expenses would be reimbursed as set out in our expense policy with travel reimbursed by HMRC legislation.

    The Role

    The main purpose of your role will be to support an amazing gentleman in his own home with all aspects of his daily living, e.g. shopping, finances, cooking, meal planning, housework and personal care.

    With the gentleman also enjoys various hobbies and interests, you may also find yourself getting involved in swimming, the outdoors, watching and listening to sports and going for walks to name a few.

    We recruit on values and transferrable skills, so you don't need experience or qualifications to start your career with us. We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need, including the opportunity to complete your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification.

    About You

    To be a great Support Practitioner we'll need you have the following qualities: -Good communication skillsA caring attitude and approachA positive approach to learning Confidence in the use of computersThe ability to cookConfidence to provide support in the water as swimming is a regular activity
    It would be great if you were also a driver with at least a years' experience on the roads as the gentleman we support has his own mobility car, however, this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidate.Shift Patterns
