Key Responsibilities Provide tailored support to help pupils access the curriculum at an appropriate level.Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to reinforce learning, deliver interventions, and build independence.Adapt resources and learning tasks using visuals, simplified language, modelling and scaffolding.Support emotional regulation, behaviour and transitions throughout the school day.Implement strategies and recommendations from SEN professionals, including Speech & Language Therapists and Educational Psychologists.Use communication aids, prompts, visual schedules or alternative communication tools where needed.Support life skills, social development and preparation for secondary school.Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver support aligned with EHCP targets.Provide regular feedback on progress, behaviour and support strategies.Build positive working relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers. Person Specification Good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSE English & Maths or equivalent).Experience working with children (essential).Experience supporting pupils with SEND (desirable but not essential with willingness to learn).Patient, empathetic, and able to uphold dignity and independence at all times.
