Job Description: Join a leading and prestigious security company as a Fire and Security Service Engineer. We are seeking highly skilled, experienced, and dedicated Fire and Security engineers to join our established aftercare service team.
Responsibilities: Respond to both pre-arranged and emergency response calls. Provide exceptional service and support to ensure the ongoing functionality and reliability of our customers' security systems. Service and maintain various intruder alarm systems, CCTV, entry and access control systems, and fire alarms. Diagnose and resolve technical issues, conduct repairs, and restore functionality in a timely manner. Recommend and implement system upgrades and enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and security. Monitor alarm signals and alerts from customer sites, investigate triggered alarms, and take appropriate action. Conduct scheduled maintenance visits to inspect and service security systems. Provide technical support and assistance to customers via phone, email, or on-site visits. Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including maintenance visits, repairs, upgrades, and customer interactions.
Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Security Service Engineer. Proficiency in servicing and maintaining intruder alarm systems. Knowledge of broader electronic security systems: CCTV, entry and access control systems, and fire alarms. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of regulatory standards. UK driving licence with no more than 6 points. Ability to work 1 in every 6 weekends (daytime hours) with paid standby and commission on call-outs. Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check. Ability to work at height.

Strong technical expertise in embedded products, including hardware/software integration, real-time operating systems, and low-level programming. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with product certification (CE/UKCA) and safety standards. Full UK driver's licence is essential. Right to live and work in the UK.

They are currently seeking a skilled Fire & Security Engineer to undertake the first call response for Fire, CCTV, EAS, Access Control, PA, and Automatic Pedestrian Gates in designated stores. Job Purpose: As a Fire & Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our client's stores by carrying out maintenance, repairs, and preventative measures for various technical systems. Key Duties: Carry out maintenance and repairs in accordance with customer KPIs. Ensure all planned and reactive works are executed as per contractual obligations. Complete PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) works within agreed timescales and ensure accurate paperwork is completed. Respond promptly to service call requests during normal hours and on-call.
