Core shifts are 9am – 4pm and 9am-5pm. Evenings 4pm-10pm and 5pm-10pm. There is also a sleep from 10pm-7am.     Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: We are different in lots of ways (that’s what makes us so interesting) with our ages ranging between 22 to 54 We are all mobile and quite independent only needing verbal prompts. We all have different challenges in our lives which include autism, learning disabilities and mental health. We have a staff team who are all trained and familiar with supporting us with our needs. What is important to us We are all proud of the house we live in and how homely it is with all our bedrooms been personal to us We like to go shopping, playing bingo, meals out, concerts, the theatre and just socialising in general Two of us like to go to our day centres. We all like to do arts and crafts, making our own decorations for special occasions Two of us are aspiring to move out of Jackson Avenue in the future and living independently We all like to use the local amenities which includes Roundhay Park which is in walking distance from our home. We also use the local shops and bars We are sociable, friendly, and like to have a laugh with our support team We like to have female support and not male and we prefer individuals who are bubbly and fun to be around Our Home Our house is a Victorian detached with 4 bedrooms and a sleep-in room, located over 2 floors Our house has 3 stories with a cellar underneath We have a small garden located to the rear of the house, where there is room for a table and chairs in the summer. We also have a homemade bar We share the lounge/dining room and kitchen area. We like to sit in the lounge on an evening and watch the TV and we prefer staff to be elsewhere to give us some space We are located on a main road with a good bus service, we have a bus stop right outside the property and one over the road The neighbours to the right when looking at the property are very friendly, and he will always speak to us if he sees us out. We have had disputes in the past with the neighbours over the road to the left and the neighbour at the bottom of the rear garden. There is parking down the side of the house as we are a corner plot Other information Minimum staffing would be one staff member on shift all day and night It depends on our activities scheduled in for the week but our normal staffing levels are 2/3 staff between the hours of 8am and 9pm then one sleep in staff from 9pm to 8am. We would expect you to be interested in the activities that we enjoy and support us on a day to day basis. You should be caring, friendly and empathetic. We will train you in all mandatory training as well as autism, learning disabilities and mental health to ensure you support us to our full potential.     Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: At present three people live at Rosedale bungalow in Flaxton St, our second bungalow, Rosewood, has a new resident and we are waiting for our second resident to move in – exciting times! We have all lived at Flaxton St for several years now where the team support us to manage various challenges such as different communication styles, bi-polar disorder, epilepsy and onset of dementia. Most of the team have been supporting us for a long time now, but new faces are always welcome. Our support team aris trained to ensure we live our best lives possible so that we enjoy fun, laughter and music! At Rosedale we have a happy, lively day filled with the activities we enjoy such as trips to the seaside, bowling, arts and crafts, shopping, eating out, cinema and discos.We all enjoy helping with baking and cooking, eating together, watching TV, puzzles, music. Individually we enjoy knitting, gardening, air guitar and line dancing, so quite a varied group but we have fun. The team encourage us to do as much as we can for ourselves and to explore local places and activities. We are using public transport now so learning bus times and how to get about is an adventure. We are planning a train trip to Newcastle for a day out in the big city. Next stop, London! Listening and respecting us as individuals is so important - as is a jolly good laugh and some fun! There are usually four staff on, depending on what we are doing, the staff rota is flexible to our needs. Overnight we have a waking night and sleep-in staff. As we are all mobile and as independent as possible staff are there to encourage us with prompts to keep motivated, safe and healthy. Most of the team has been at Flaxton St for a number of years so we are all like a big family who know, understand and get along together. Our team are well trained in supporting us with our health and contact the local GP or LDP health team should we need extra support. Our Social Workers and Commissioners stay in touch and visit regularly for a cuppa and chat to see how we are getting along. The team often adjust their working hours to support our activities if we want to go to a disco or for a longer trip out but working to a shift pattern gives us all some structure and helps us to plan our week. Recently our team has had additional training on Community mapping and support planning so the way in which they help us record our daily lives improves. C-i-c ensures that the team receive this training and any updates needed to keep us safe, healthy and able to engage in activities of our choice.     Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: * JOIN OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM IN WEST LOTHIAN (ARMADALE/BROXBURN) * We have an exciting opportunity for a caring, compassionate and experienced Service Leader Level 3 to join our team in West Lothian. You will lead and manage a team of 30 Support Workers working across two care homes and one supported living service to make a real difference to the lives of the ladies and gentlemen we currently support with learning disabilities, Autism, Downs Syndrome and Mental Health Concerns.

    This is a Registered Manager role and the successful applicant will be responsible for the daily management of these services and their staff teams. They will be responsible for ensuring staff teams are suitably trained, well supported and supervised and have the tools to carry out their role to the best of their ability. As part of your role, you will support and mentor a Service Leader Level 1 in the area. They will also be responsible and accountable for the 24-hour management of the services, ensuring that all aspects of support and service delivery are focused on meeting the needs and preferences of the people we support. This includes involvement in the creation and auditing of care and support plans, risk assessments, evacuation plans and other safe systems of work. The successful candidate will have effective communication, leadership, coaching and mentoring skills. They will be responsible for working with both internal and external partners including other healthcare professionals, local authority and family members. They will also be committed to person-centred planning, supporting positive risk taking and best practice for individual reviews. Flexibility will be essential.

    The successful candidate will have a current SSSC or equivalent registration or the ability to be registered upon taking up the post. A relevant management, social care or nursing-related qualification and relevant experience is essential. A full UK driving license and use of own vehicle is also essential for this role. Community Integrated Care operates a centralised on-call system so there are no on-call duties required within this role. This post is a permanent role for 37.5 hours per week working from Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.     We are currently recruiting for experienced Support Workers to support 6 individuals who live in their own purpose-built bungalows in Tullibody. For some of the people we support, this is the first time living in their own homes, so they need patience and understanding while they continue to adjust to their new surroundings.

    In the past, the people we support have faced a lot of challenges because of their learning disabilities, Autism, mental health issues and hearing/visual impairments but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life! They enjoy some of the same activities as each other, such as dancing, listening to music, spending time with friends and family and going out for tea and cake, but they also enjoy their own activities, including gardening, sports, cooking and baking, animals and going to parties.

    Our staff team are very supportive and have experience from supporting others in the past. As well as the activities the people we support enjoy, our team also supports with:

    • Medication
    • Cooking 
    • Assisting with personal care
    • Maintaining the homes and finances of the people we support

    The current shift pattern here is from 8am – 8pm or overnight from 8pm – 8am, which helps ensure the safety of the people we support. We are currently recruiting for full-time roles for 36 hours per week, which will include some weekend work and waking night shifts. Bank roles are also available. A UK driving license isn't mandatory, but it would be a bonus! We are passionate about our people and every year we invest heavily in our front-line worker pay, in line with the Living Wage increase each April.     Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: As a Virtual Care Centre Operator, you will be the first point of contact for people accessing support through Technology Enabled Care (TEC). This modern approach uses video calls, digital alerts and remote monitoring to empower individuals to live independently, safely, and confidently in their own homes. You’ll be supporting people with a wide range of needs — including learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, long‑term health conditions and age‑related support requirements. Although the support is delivered remotely, the relationships and trust you build are very real.
