Location: Mobile across South East England (ideal base: Cambridgeshire) Salary: £35,000–£40,000 (DOE + qualifications) Hours: Full-time, 45 hours per week Contract: Permanent
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Fire Safety Service Engineer to carry out servicing, remedials and light repairs across a range of fire protection systems. This role suits someone who enjoys autonomy, problem‑solving and delivering high‑quality work across varied sites.
Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain and complete remedial works on fire safety systems in line with industry standards
Inspect, fault‑find and troubleshoot existing installations
Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery
Complete accurate reports, documentation and inventory records
Keep up to date with relevant standards, technologies and best practice
Participate in the out‑of‑hours call‑out rota
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a Fire Safety Engineer
Strong problem‑solving ability and high attention to detail
Able to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent communication and customer‑service skills
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South East
Desirable (Bonus) Skills
Fire alarm system commissioning
Experience with security systems
Smoke ventilation (AOV) testing, installation or commissioning
