The Labourer will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the workshop and the outside area of the depot. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Key Responsibilities Versatility, flexibility, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are required in this position.  Ensure the Workshop & outside areas area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations. Organize items in appropriate locations to facilitate easy access and retrieval. Commitment and compliance with the facilities 6/S requirements. Handle & dispose of goods according to company policies. Collaborate with other departments to ensure cleanliness of the depot. Prepare items for dispatch, ensuring they are packaged securely and labelled correctly. At all times, wear personal protective equipment appropriate to the tasks being carried out. Attend safety briefing sessions as required by the company. Person Specification GCSE qualifications. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Valid Full driver’s licenses. Being competent to drive both types of C21 & C44 Rail Grinders and Rail Milling Machine. In addition, you would also be trained to drive other types of OTM plantKey Responsibilities Driving and route conducting the machines safely and effectively Reporting any machine defects to Grinding Supervisor and/or Maintenance Supervisor, where appropriate. To work safely and effectively to Colas Rail Services Operations procedures. Assist as required To prepare and carryout safety inspections on plant before train enters service Assist in maintaining quality systems, and stabling database by continually monitoring, reviewing, and making recommendations for updating as required Required undertake route learning / refreshing as and when required.
