p Transport Planner – Suffolk /p p br /p p £30,000+ | Permanent | Full-time /p p br /p p Are you an experienced Transport Planner looking for a role where you can take ownership of the daily transport operation? /p p br /p p We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a growing business in Suffolk. This is a hands-on role focused on route optimisation, delivery planning and managing third-party transport providers. /p p br /p p The Role /p p You will be responsible for planning and coordinating daily deliveries, ensuring routes are efficient, cost-effective and meet customer requirements. /p p br /p p strong Key responsibilities: /strong /p ul li Plan and optimise daily delivery routes /li li Allocate work across a network of subcontracted carriers /li li Monitor deliveries and resolve issues in real time /li li Re-plan routes when delays or priorities change /li li Work closely with internal teams to maintain service levels /li li Balance cost, efficiency and customer requirements /li li Manage Proof of Delivery (POD) queries and ensure records are accurate /li li Use transport planning systems and data to improve efficiency /li li Build strong relationships with external transport providers /li /ul p br /p p About You /p p Were looking for someone with proven experience within transport planning or logistics planning who can confidently manage a busy and changing operation. /p p br /p p strong Essential: /strong /p ul li Previous transport or logistics planning experience /li li Experience working with subcontracted carriers / third-party transport providers desirable /li li Strong route planning and problem-solving skills /li li Experience using transport planning or route optimisation systems /li li Ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly /li li Strong communication and organisational skills /li li Commercial awareness with a focus on both cost and service /li /ul p br /p p Working Hours /p p 45 hours per week strong , /strong with some flexibility required to support the operational requirements of the business. /p p br /p p Whats on Offer /p ul li Salary from £30,000 /li li Permanent, full-time position /li li Free on-site parking /li li Health wellbeing programme /li li Life insurance /li li Opportunity to take ownership of the transport planning function /li li Growing business with opportunities for development /li /ul p br /p p If youre an experienced Transport Planner, Traffic Planner or Senior Transport Planner and are looking for your next opportunity, please get in touch or apply with your CV. /p
