In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate and compliant fire alarm system designs and cost estimates, supporting both pre-sales activities and project delivery. This position requires a strong technical understanding, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and clients to deliver tailored, cost-effective solutions.Lead the design and development of fire alarm system proposals, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations, including BS 5839, CDM regulations, and other applicable codes.Proven ability to manage relationships and communicate effectively with Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) contractors, ensuring projects are delivered to the required standards and timelines.Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, effectively prioritising workloads based on project deadlines and business needs.Act as a customer-facing technical expert, working alongside Business Development Managers to present and deliver tailored design proposals.Collaborate closely with Project Managers and installation teams to assess and negotiate installation costs for supply, installation, and commissioning projects.Ensure all designs and proposals are accurately costed, aligned with company margin expectations, and appropriately approved and signed off prior to release.Guarantee all quotations and designs are fully compliant with current legislation and industry standards, maintaining technical accuracy and integrity.
