    Job Title : Electrical Design Engineer Function : Engineering Reports to : Electrical Engineering Manager Location : Knowsley, with UK and overseas travel as required Job Purpose : To produce electrical designs, engineer, and develop power-generating facilities, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Hydrogen, Solar, Wind, Microgrids, Gas-Powered Generation (Advanced Gas, Biogas, Natural Gas), and CHP plants. You will provide input and support at all stages of a project, from sales through to installation, ensuring designs meet the required functional and contractual specifications. Majority of time spent : Translating and developing conceptual designs into fully engineered designs that meet the specifications of secured orders.
    We are looking for an experienced and driven Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed electrical designs for a range of energy generation technologies, working closely with internal teams and clients to ensure successful project outcomes. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects in a dynamic and growing industry.
    Key Responsibilities : Design Development : Translate conceptual designs into detailed designs that meet the functional and contractual specifications of secured orders. This includes preparing specifications, calculations, and component selection. Power System Studies : Carry out Power System Studies, including Load Flows, Fault Analysis, Protection Studies, P28 Voltage Flicker, G5/5 Harmonic Assessments, G99 Reactive Power, and Frequency Response Simulations. Sales Support : Assist in the sales stage of a project, ensuring conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provided to meet customer timescales and quality standards. Collaboration with Mechanical Design Engineers : Work closely with Mechanical Design Engineers to ensure alignment on project requirements and detailed design development. Coordination with CAD Draughtsmen : Liaise with CAD draughtsmen, leading the design package production to ensure it meets deadlines and quality standards. Project Support : Provide support during the installation, commissioning, and testing phases, ensuring all necessary documentation is produced on time. Client Liaison : Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers, providing technical support and updates as required. HAZOP and Risk Assessment : Participate in, and where appropriate lead, HAZOP studies and risk assessments. Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Compliance : Ensure adherence to all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality management policies and procedures in all aspects of work.
    Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills : Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office. Proficiency in Power Systems Analysis tools/software. Knowledge of AutoCAD draughting package. Project management experience and ability to work on large-scale projects.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the power generation industry (1-25MW). Knowledge of low and medium voltage power trains, as well as associated control and instrumentation systems. Strong IT skills (MS Office). Full UK/EU Driving License. Eligible to work in the UK.
    Desirable Qualifications and Experience : Professional registration. Experience in CHP and power generation. Familiarity with AutoCAD draughting package or similar tools. Experience with ETAP power analysis software. Knowledge of HV substation design and the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS).

    Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer HV AP Reports to: Project Commissioning Manager Function: Projects Location: UK and Ireland Job Purpose: To manage and assist with all aspects of HV/LV & controls of electrical project deliverables.
    Role and Responsibilities: Be part of a project engineering team responsible for managing the installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of the electrical generation systems, LV, HV, small power, ancillary and control systems for the project and to the project timescales. Liaise with engineering, service departments, project management and other project engineers on electrical pre-commissioning and installation issues. Review and appraise electrical systems against current drawings offering feedback on engineering design deliverables & project specifications. Add Input towards the planning of commissioning activities for all aspects of the projects electrical, interfacing and communication requirements. Issue, control and manage HV/LV Commissioning Procedures, permits and general documentation for limitations of access pertinent to the project. Undertake panel and system modifications in line with current designs and be able to fault find within a variety of LV and HV systems.
    Essential: A background in electrical engineering ECS card holder HV authorised or willingness to undertake training to achieve authorisation (HV Switching (SAP) Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements. Job Purpose: To plan, organise, and manage allocated projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client and Clarke Energy. Majority of time spent: Day-to-day management of the project and the client relationship.
    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to lead and manage the design, execution, and commissioning of large-scale, complex EPC project in a heavily regulated and compliance-led project sector. In this role, you will lead a dynamic team of Clarke Energy staff and contractors and have full accountability for a flagship project at Clarke Energy. You will ensure its successful delivery on schedule, within budget, and in adherence to the highest quality and compliance standards. We expect this role to be based at our HQ in Knowsley for approximately six months to lead the design phase, followed by a 24-month construction period where your primary focus will shift to on-site presence and project delivery.
    Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the project team through the entire lifecycle, ensuring performance and delivery meet timescales, budgets, and quality standards. Oversee the early-stage design development for a complex and pioneering engineering project, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements within a highly governed construction sector. Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-ones, providing feedback and guidance to ensure progress is on target. Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and performance. Liaise with clients to understand and interpret their requirements, ensuring any deviations from the contract are communicated to the Contracts Manager. Negotiate project timescales and costs with clients, ensuring agreement on project deliverables. Develop a detailed Project Plan, including all technical, commercial, and installation tasks for progress tracking and reporting. Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards are fully integrated into project plans and adhered to at all stages. Allocate resources to achieve project goals on time and to the required quality. Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure the best value on materials and services. Monitor project progress, resolving delays or issues as needed. Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring regular communication and satisfaction with project progress. Report project status to the Contract Manager, highlighting any difficulties and the actions taken to address them.
    Essential Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience in project management in an engineering environment. Experience in leading the early design phase of projects within highly regulated construction environments, ensuring compliance with complex industry standards. Knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management policies and procedures. Experience with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015). Excellent client management skills. Solid budget management experience. Working knowledge of construction contracts such as FIDIC, NEC, and JCT. Collect, label, and dispatch oil samples to the laboratory in accordance with agreed procedures. Select and order the correct parts, returning any unused items to minimize waste. Maintain van stock accurately, using parts responsibly, and reporting any shortages to the Area Manager. Customer and Team Support Build and maintain positive relationships with customers by providing professional, responsive support. Maintain clear communication with the Area Manager, customers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth site operations.
