We are looking to recruit an Operations Controller to join our team in Oxford. As an Operations Controller, you will manage all day-to-day courier resources to maximise efficiencies across the network, adhering to customer SLAs and Health and Safety parameters. You will support the Service Centre Manager in creating a KPI-driven environment focused on service and revenue. A successful Operations Controller manages day-to-day resources within the Service Centre, supporting the Service Centre Manager and Operations Manager to positively contribute to the overall success of the Service Centre. This includes delivering and managing efficient and timely collections and deliveries of all designated resources, as well as managing all stakeholder relationships to ensure CitySprint maintains a positive commercial reputation. The main responsibilities within the Operations Controller role are: Direct communications relating to designated courier workload courteously and efficiently at all times. Monitor jobs through to POD and completion, prioritising platinum customers. Implement and maintain Service Level Agreements (both customer and service centre specific). Proactively keep clients and colleagues informed of any delays or issues. Ensure fleet size is sufficient to service clients, particularly during peak periods — maintain levels and recruit when required. Proactively support the onboarding of all couriers, ensuring compliance with business regulations and creating a professional image from all courier resources. Lead projects to enhance reward offerings, such as introducing new benefits or recognition programmes, and drive continuous improvement by reviewing processes and identifying opportunities for innovation. Lead Remco support by preparing and presenting accurate reports, benchmarking data, and recommendations, ensuring compliance with governance and collaborating with senior stakeholders to align decisions with organisational objectives. Produce accurate reports and analysis for senior leadership, using data to support strategic decision-making and monitor the effectiveness of reward initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following: Strong understanding of reward principles, pay structures, and benefits administration. Ability to interpret market data and translate insights into actionable recommendations. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in reward practices. Ability to manage end-to-end reward cycles and projects. Remains objective, actively troubleshoots and pursues solutions when issues/problems occur. Proven experience in reward management, including pay and benefits administration. Strong analytical skills with experience in market benchmarking and data interpretation. Working knowledge of job evaluation methodologies and reward frameworks. Experience managing annual reward cycles and related projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems.
