IT Infrastructure Specialist - Bishops Stortford - (Hybrid) - Up to £49K
I am looking for an IT Infrastructure Specialist to join a well know UK not-for-profit company based near Bishops Stortford. As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing and securing the companies whole IT infrastructure across the UK.
Key Skills
Strong hands-on experience administering and supporting Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive and Sophos.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services, including the design, deployment and management of cloud-based infrastructure and Azure Backup solutions.
Solid networking expertise covering TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing and switching, VPNs, firewalls, WAN connectivity and wireless networks.
Proven experience managing and maintaining VMware vSphere/ESXi environments
Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication and implementing robust backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, administration and operational efficiency.
Relevant industry certifications in Microsoft, Azure, Networking or Cyber Security would be highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the organisation's infrastructure estate, ensuring the ongoing reliability, performance and strategic development of both cloud and on-premise technologies.
Oversee the administration, maintenance and continuous improvement of Microsoft Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and associated services.
Design, implement and support robust backup, disaster recovery and business continuity frameworks to safeguard critical business systems.
Spearhead and deliver infrastructure enhancement projects, including cloud migrations, system upgrades, technology refreshes and platform modernisation initiatives.
Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues, providing expert 3rd line support and troubleshooting.
Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, technology partners and third-party suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of IT services.
Contribute to infrastructure strategy, technical roadmaps and continuous service improvement, helping to shape the organisation's future technology landscape.
