We are looking for enthusiastic Domestic Assistants to join our Facilities Team in Chester, successful candidates will receive full training and a uniform will be provided, This vacancy is part time 15 hours, Monday to Friday 10:15am to 1:15pm. The post holder will work on a Mother and Baby Unit, a specialist provision for women with mental health ill health during pregnancy and/or in the year after their baby is born. Patients in the postnatal period will have their babies with them during their time as an inpatient on the Mother and Baby Unit. The Mother and Baby Unit is an 8 bedded unit with 6 beds commissioned by NHS England for the women of Cheshire and Merseyside and 2 beds commissioned by NHS Wales for the women of North Wales. The Trust currently supports the Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Federation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this. The CMHT offers multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention for people with complex mental health needs. Alongside direct therapeutic work with individuals and their families, you would also support the delivery of psychologically informed care and care planning through case discussions, MDT meetings, supervision, training and consultation. You would have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing service developments, including the National CMHT Transformation Programme. An interest in research and audit is encouraged and supported. Clinical work within the team will include providing direct psychological and neuropsychological assessment and interventions. Main duties of the job You would be joining a very friendly and supportive community mental health team with a focus on a recovery model and trauma-informed care and where the role of Clinical Psychology is highly valued. You would also be part of a team of experienced psychologists with a focus on continuing personal development and peer support. There will be lots of opportunities for the development of clinical skills, including training in therapies. Specifically, there is agreement that the successful post-holder will be able to access training in EMDR, and/or other therapy modalities deemed relevant to the needs of the Service Users. The post is based at the Acorn Suite, Countess of Chester Health Park, and provides a service to the Wirral Area. The Acquired Brain Injury Service has continued to develop since its origins, the team members have increased in numbers and the service deliver has expanded in many ways. The post holder will be working alongside brain injury case managers, psychology assistants, Consultant neuropsychologists, lived experience connectors and service user volunteers.
