Your future duties and responsibilities: Your role will involve work across the full implementation life-cycle, including analysis and documentation of business and functional requirements, business process analysis, strategic solution recommendations and solution architecture, design, testing and cut-over. You will be involved in defining scope and business priorities for business changes, eliciting requirements, selecting appropriate techniques for the elicitation of detailed requirements and specifying business and system requirements. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: To be successful in this role you will have worked within the UK utilities sector within one or more core business areas, undertaking business analysis activities. You will have experience of working in a project environment in addition to any operational roles. You will be familiar with Business Analysis Techniques for the modelling and understanding a business and its operation and identifying and evaluating solutions to business problems.

    You will have experience of one or more relevant energy & utilities industry solutions from software providers covering core business functions such as customer engagement, sales, pricing, forecasting, billing/CRM, collections, ETRM, MDMS, SCADA, network/outage management, GIS, asset management, workforce management and water quality.
    You will be a team player with strong communication and presentation skills and an ability to engage at all stakeholder levels.

    Desirable experience includes:

    • Experience of working as a Business or Technical Analyst in the energy & utilities industry on assignments supporting business and/or IT transformation.
    • Experience of current and future industry and regulatory change
    • Experience of business process mapping/business process re-engineering
    • Track record of finding innovative solutions to business challenges.

Your future duties and responsibilities: In this role, you will lead day-to-day mechanical and facilities operations across multiple UK locations, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and excellent service delivery. You will manage and develop the facilities technical team, allocate the right skills to each site, and act as the primary point of contact for landlords, property managers and specialist contractors.     Collaborate & Influence: Liaise with CRE, landlords and senior stakeholders to support strategic site decisions.

    Travel & Presence: Provide in-person leadership across the UK region (travel required) and maintain on-site presence typically 4 days per week. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: You should bring a minimum of five years’ experience in mechanical engineering and facilities leadership, with demonstrable success managing multi-site operations, budgets and supplier networks. You are organised, analytically strong, excellent with stakeholder engagement and skilled at turning technical data into clear commercial decisions.

    Essential qualifications & experience

    Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering (HVAC, AC, gas & ventilation) and facilities management.

    Proven track record managing a facilities/technical team and contractor supply chains.

    Strong experience in budgeting, space planning and multi-site asset management.

    Proficiency with planned maintenance standards (SFG20) and CAFM systems (TABS or equivalent).

    Due to the secure nature of this project, this role requires candidates to either already hold, or be eligible to obtain, a high level of UK Security Clearance. To meet the eligibility criteria for this clearance, applicants must be sole British nationals, have been resident in the UK for the past 10 years, and must not have spent more than 28 consecutive days outside the UK within the last five years. Individuals who do not currently hold clearance are still encouraged to apply and will be considered both for this position and for other suitable opportunities within CGI where appropriate.

    This role is primarily based on a secure client site and requires attendance on site five days per week due to the sensitive nature of the work and the systems involved. While the position is predominantly site-based, there may be occasional flexibility where business needs and security constraints allow. Any such arrangements would be agreed in advance with the project team. Your future duties and responsibilities: You will be working on a highly secure hyprid on-prem / cloud projects. The role is on an established fast-moving DevSecOps team, on on-prem, remote and multi-cloud infrastructure, using a multitude of technologies including CloudFormation, Ansible and Terraform, Ubuntu and Windows, VPNs, firewalls, VMs, laptops, MFA, AD, monitoring, network performance, resilience and security design, plus some integration scripting and application configuration and management.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role: • Ideally 3 years of experience of Infrastructure engineering - design, build, deploy, test and support
    • Deployment across on prem and cloud infra
    • Kubernetes, Containerisation, Platform Engineering
    • Kubernetes architecture - pods, services, deployments and networking, software defined networking
    • Scripting, e.g. Python/Shell
    • Experience of Docker, including image creation, container management (including security patching) and orchestration
    • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation
    • Experience of cloud compute - AWS, GCP or Azure (primarily AWS)
    • GitOps tooling such as Argo CD
    • Infra security, compliance and governance
    • Familiarity with CNCF ecosystem and building platforms on top of Kubernetes
    • Container orchestration tools, e.g. Docker Swarm / Apache Mesos
    • Knowledge of Service Mesh technologies, e.g. Istio / Linkerd
    • Experience of monitoring tools, e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK
    • Rounded problem-solving skills - troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure related issues
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
    • Ability to work across a diverse set of stakeholders, across multiple sites
    • Experience with agile development methodologies and tooling such as Git

    We don’t expect candidates to know everything on the list. Experience across multiple areas is desirable, the ability to learn quickly, and a willingness to contribute across the technology stack as required.
