Responsibilities and Duties Entry Level IT Field Engineer £95 - £110 per day Part Time and Permanent vacancies available Do you want to get your foot on the ladder of the sector and launch your new career? We are currently recruiting Field Engineers to join our engineering pool for multiple contract opportunities across the country. No experience is necessary as comprehensive training can be provided. As a brief background, Cerco works closely with a number of large IT companies who will come to us with a variety of roles for different experience levels and our recruitment team will look to fulfil these positions from our talent pool. Our available work falls into 2 broad categories, Permanent and Project. The Permanent model is very much a standard recruitment process, if we get a role, we will submit suitable candidate’s CV’s to the customer. With the Project model, engineers are employed directly by Cerco and outsourced to work on a variety of project or contract opportunities. This can be a great, flexible way of gaining a variety of experience and working for multiple companies to quickly enhance your CV. However, work is never guaranteed under this model, so may not be a suitable option for someone looking to leave their existing full-time employment. The majority of work we get in both categories is usually relatively entry level and in the Hardware Support Engineering sphere. However, we do also get some more advanced roles that we could look to put you forward for once you have gained that foundational experience. We run a free training course from our offices in Crewe and training centre in Swansea in IT hardware engineering, that may be a suitable starting point if you have never worked in IT previously in a professional capacity, upon completion of which we can onboard you as one of our engineers. Alternatively, if you have previously worked in the industry, we can look to assess your skills and onboard you directly. About You: · Regardless of experience, the most important element to any candidate is a genuine passion for & a willingness to learn new skills. · The role of an IT field engineer is field based and will often require you to travel to various sites, so it is imperative you have a valid driving licence, have your own vehicle and have a flexible approach towards traveling to a variety of locations. · Practical skills such as DIY experience would be highly beneficial · Ex- Military- Desirable Main Responsibilities of the IT Field Engineers: Attending customer sites to install/ resolve IT equipment Working closely with the IT support desk to feedback on support calls and ongoing issues Liaising with account managers and updating customers with the progress and resolution of issues There is tremendous scope for progression with this role and working with us will open up a host of opportunities for further learning that can be done online at your own pace.
