We are currently recruiting for an experienced Cloud Architect & DevOps Lead with deep experience in AWS and Azure to lead cloud initiatives, optimize infrastructure and mentor team members across Centrica Energy. The role holder will design and manage complex cloud architectures, implement best DevOps practices and contribute to building a robust and scalable infrastructure for Centrica Energy applications. Security and Compliance Develop and enforce security practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and compliance with standards defined by Centrica Conduct periodic security reviews and audits. Leadership and Mentoring Lead DevOps practices across teams and provide guidance to junior engineers Establish and enforce DevOps standards, best practices, and processes. Cost Management and Optimization Analyse cloud costs and implement strategies for cost optimisation Recommend and enforce policies for efficient resource utilisation. Collaboration and Communication Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and operations, to ensure alignment with business goals Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders Provide P1/P2 support for critical Infrastructure. What we need from you Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Owner within a ServiceNow delivery team, with hands-on knowledge of ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, CMDB) and how these modules interact with each other and with wider platform architecture. Strong track record of owning a product backlog, writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and balancing stakeholder demand against platform stability, data quality and technical debt. Experience supporting live ITOM services, including involvement in major incident response, root cause investigation and driving continuous improvement in platform reliability and CMDB accuracy. Senior Business Development Manager - Public Sector (UK & Ireland) This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing team at the forefront of the UK's public sector decarbonisation agenda. The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced and commercially astute Senior Business Development Manager to lead the development of strategic customer relationships and originate high-value opportunities across key public sector markets, including: Ministry of Defence (MOD) and wider Defence Estate NHS Trusts and Healthcare Providers Local Authorities Social Housing Providers and Registered Housing Associations Public Sector / Private Landlords and Estates This is a pivotal strategic role focused on developing long-term partnerships and securing multi-million-pound decarbonisation and energy infrastructure programmes that help public sector organisations achieve their operational, financial and environmental objectives. Why This Role Matters This role will directly support Centrica's ambitions to: Accelerate decarbonisation across critical national infrastructure Support public sector organisations in achieving Net Zero targets Strengthen strategic partnerships across Defence, Healthcare, Local Government and Housing sectors Deliver innovative commercial and funding models that address public sector budget challenges Increase Centrica's presence on national and regional procurement frameworks What You'll Be Doing Develop and deliver growth strategies across Defence, NHS, Local Government, Social Housing and wider Public Sector markets. Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships across key public sector organisations, procurement bodies and framework providers. Identify, qualify and convert strategic opportunities that support Centrica's Public Sector and Net Zero ambitions. Lead complex sales opportunities from origination through to contract award, including business case development, bid leadership and governance approvals. Navigate public sector procurement routes and frameworks, including CCS, NHS, Defence and Local Authority frameworks. Apply a strong understanding of the Procurement Act 2023 and public procurement regulations to develop compliant route-to-market strategies. Develop innovative commercial, funding and decarbonisation solutions that deliver value for money, carbon reduction and operational resilience. Provide market insight on public sector policy, procurement trends and competitor activity to inform growth strategy. Represent Centrica at industry events , conferences and stakeholder forums, strengthening our position as a trusted public sector partner. Maintain robust pipeline management , forecasting and opportunity governance through Salesforce. What We're Looking For We are seeking an experienced public sector business development professional with a strong understanding of how government and public sector organisations procure, fund and deliver large-scale infrastructure and decarbonisation programmes. Experience & Expertise Strong proven experience in strategic business development, sales or account leadership within Public Sector markets Demonstrable success winning complex, high-value opportunities with organisations such as MOD, NHS, Local Authorities or Housing Associations Strong understanding of public sector governance , procurement and decision-making processes Experience operating within regulated procurement environments and framework agreements Experience developing business cases and commercial proposals focused on value for money and whole-life cost outcomes Understanding of energy, engineering, infrastructure, utilities or decarbonisation solutions Experience with commercial modelling, investment appraisal and funding mechanisms Capabilities Strategic thinker with the ability to develop long-term customer partnerships Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills Credible communicator at Executive and Board level Strong commercial acumen balanced with an understanding of public sector priorities Collaborative leader able to influence across multiple internal functions Highly organised , disciplined and data-driven in pipeline management and forecasting Resilient, driven, and outcomes-focused with a strong "hunter" mentality Why Join Centrica Business?
