    Electrical Shift Engineer Continental Shift - Kings Cross, London - £52,000 per annum Location: Commercial Building, Kings Cross, London Salary: Up to £52,000 per annum Overview: Our client is seeking a qualified Electrical Shift Engineer to join the maintenance team of a high-rise commercial building in Kings Cross, London. The ideal candidate will hold electrical qualifications (C&G / NVQ) and have experience in commercial building maintenance. This role offers hands-on electrical and multi-skilled work, with opportunities for further training and career progression. Package Includes: Salary up to £52,000 per annum Uniform and tools supplied Cycle to Work Scheme 20 days holiday Private healthcare Plenty of overtime Overtime opportunities Pension scheme Internal progression and development opportunities Hours of Work: Continental Shift: 4 nights on / 4 off / 3 days on / 3 nights on / 6 off / 4 days on Shift times: 07:00 19:00 / 19:00 07:00 Key Duties & Responsibilities: Electrical maintenance including lighting, fault-finding, small installations, lamping, ballast changes, control panels, and power distribution Emergency lighting inspections and maintenance Air Conditioning: AHUs and FCUs (filter changes, cleaning, basic maintenance) Chiller re-sets and first-line troubleshooting Water treatment monitoring (temperature checks) Monitoring mechanical plant, pumps, motors, and plumbing (unblocking toilets, minor repairs) BMS system monitoring (hot & cold checks) Perform all allocated tasks professionally and within allocated timeframes Proactively identify, report, and resolve faults with building services equipment Maintain health & safety compliance, reporting/escalating issues where required Maintain clear communication with client staff and site management regarding service issues Escort specialist subcontractors when required Be flexible with site attendance and tasks within competency Requirements: Electrically qualified (C&G, NVQ, or equivalent) 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge Experience in large commercial buildings Ability to provide trade certificates (essential) Proven track record in commercial building maintenance Multi-skilled (electrical, mechanical, and general building services) Strong communication and customer service skills Must be able to attend site for a 07:00 am start Interested candidates should contact: Alex Denton CBW Staffing Solutions TPBN1_UKTJ Read Less

Details/Hours of Work: Contract type - Permanent 8:00am to 17:00pm Monday to Friday Fully office based Key duties & Responsibilities At least 3 years proven experience of working within a challenging Service & Maintenance related environment. Experience in using and understanding a CAFM system. Ability to Coordinate, administrate and manage reactive and PPM works in line with strict Contract and Company performance measures. Adept in PPM related items ensuring Assets, Schedule, Scope of Works, Inclusions/Exclusion items are undertaken via our CAFM system. Experience of managing P&L on large commercial contracts. Provide dedicated support to the Contract Manager for all contracts and works matters, communicating frequent and detailed feedback on works progress or queries. Ability to work under pressure to achieve required Client + Contract Service Level. To demonstrate excellent standards of due diligence when auditing all core company and client reports, to ensure that we remain compliant, and works can be invoiced in a fluid manner. Adaptable to a variety of works and contract demands. Have a logical and organised method to the 100% completion of all works. Able to prioritise and multitask to a high level, whilst achieving strict deadlines. Able to liaise with Engineers and Sub Contractors and ensure standards of works are maintained and communication of progress and issues are escalated. IT literate in all Microsoft packages especially Word and Excel - in order to produce detailed Excel and Word reports. Ability to work overtime if and when required. Custodian of ensuring invoicing of all works are completed within timeframes and fully transparent. Be the focal point for ensuring PPMs are raised with monthly hours tracked and closed with applicable updates checked with the Contract Manager. Raise all quotes, as per costing sheet from Contract Manager.     Multi Skilled Electrician - Glasgow - Salary up to £45,000 DOE We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management and Building Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer to work across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and minor installation works. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining electrical systems while also supporting general building maintenance activities to ensure sites remain safe, compliant and fully operational. Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical systems. Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise downtime. Undertake minor electrical installation works, testing and commissioning. Inspect, maintain and repair lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, fire alarm interfaces and other building services systems. Carry out electrical testing and ensure compliance with current regulations and company standards. Support with general building maintenance tasks, including basic mechanical, plumbing and fabric repairs where required. Complete accurate maintenance reports and update job information using electronic maintenance management systems. Liaise with clients and site contacts, providing a professional and customer-focused service. Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures. Participate in an on-call rota where required. About You: The successful candidate will have: Previous experience working as an electrically biased maintenance engineer within Facilities Management, Building Services or a similar commercial environment. NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or Electrical Maintenance. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671). Experience carrying out fault finding, repairs and planned maintenance on commercial electrical systems. Strong understanding of electrical compliance and safe working practices. Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills. The ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively. Excellent communication and customer service skills. A full UK driving licence. Desirable 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent). Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS). Knowledge of HVAC controls and mechanical plant. Experience within commercial offices, healthcare, education, retail or industrial environments. IPAF, PASMA or other relevant certifications.
