    Purpose of the RoleTo support the effective operation of the domestic services within the homeTo maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and infection controlTo ensure residents' privacy, dignity, and respect at all timesTo carry out duties in line with the home's policies, procedures, and best practice guidelinesTo work in accordance with relevant Codes of Conduct

    Key ResponsibilitiesDomestic DutiesCleaning residents' rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and offices to a high standardFollowing cleaning schedules and infection-control guidelinesUsing cleaning products safely and in line with COSHH regulationsEnsuring all areas of the home remain welcoming, safe, and hygienicGeneral ResponsibilitiesTaking responsibility for Health & Safety and reporting hazards promptlyReading and signing communication logs and following instructions as requiredMaintaining strict confidentiality at all timesAttending training, meetings, and development activitiesReporting any concerns or unusual situations to managementRemaining flexible and supporting the wider team when required

    About the Role
    This is not an elderly care role.
    We are seeking resilient, compassionate, and dedicated Support Workers to join our specialist services supporting adults with complex needs and challenging behaviour. The individuals we support may present with physical and verbal aggression as part of their condition, as well as the potential of targeting those with protected characteristics. This role therefore requires emotional strength, patience, and a genuine commitment to understanding behaviour rather than judging it.
    Our residents live with a range of needs including mental health conditions, learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and physical disabilities. Many have experienced trauma, exclusion, or long periods of institutional care. Your role is to help change that narrative - to provide consistency, kindness, and skilled support that genuinely improves quality of life.This is a highly rewarding but demanding role, suited to people who want to make a real difference and who believe everyone deserves dignity, respect, and the opportunity to live a meaningful life.
    Key Responsibilities
    As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs. This includes:
    Supporting residents through distressed or challenging behaviour, using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)Building trusting, respectful relationships, even during difficult momentsAssisting with personal care, daily routines, and household tasksSupporting residents with shopping, appointments, and community activitiesEncouraging independence, choice, and skill developmentHelping residents engage in positive experiences that enhance their wellbeingMaintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment for everyone
    This role is about seeing the person behind the behaviour and working as part of a strong, supportive team to help residents feel safe, valued, and understood.
    What We're Looking For
    We are looking for people who are:Calm, patient, and emotionally resilientAble to remain professional in the face of challenging behaviourCompassionate, open-minded, and non-judgementalStrong communicators with good listening skillsReliable, positive, and committed to teamworkPassionate about improving lives, not just providing care
    No previous experience is required, but desirable. Full training is provided through our Careline Academy, including behaviour support, de-escalation, and safeguarding.
