     Your RoleWorking directly on-site or remotely with the customer, you will take a key role in delivering Capgemini Engineering and customer projects. You will utilise engineering principals and knowledge to support a wider range of topics – with an emphasis on, but not limited to, carbon fibre primary structure applications in conjunction with aerospace metallic materials and manufacturing principals. Key responsibilities include:
    • Developing and providing materials design guidance from first principals, covering predominantly:
    o Composite materials /Reinforced Plastic 
    • In addition to:
    o Aluminium – tempers/conditions, surface treatments, applications
    o Titanium – surface treatments, applications
    o Adhesive bonding
    o Mechanical fastening
    • Support material selection and certification activities.
    o Defining, planning and executing test campaigns in support of the above.
    o Create and maintain material compatibility and surface protection practices and manuals.
    • Develop Material Specifications to ensure materials meet required performance, quality, and compliance standards for production. 
    • Manage and generate relevant documentation for the Technical Qualification of materials.

     Your skills and experienceQualifications:
    • Degree or equivalent experience in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or other relevant fields with specialization in composites.Experience:
    • Experience in aerospace engineering with a focus on composite materials is desirable.
    • Experience in managing and generating documentation for material qualification and certification procedures.
    • Experience in developing and implementing manufacturing process specifications and material specifications.
    • High competence in at least one of the above technical areas, with demonstrable ability across the remaining areas desirable.Relevant Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of materials science, including composite materials, material compatibility, surface protection practices, and material qualification processes.
    • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage Jira boards and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with the core team and external stakeholders.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to generate precise and comprehensive documentation.
