As a driver, you'll be the hero of the road, ensuring that you arrive safely and on time, making a difference in the communities we serve. To hit the road with us, here's what you'll need: Must hold a current (CAT C) licence. A current ADR Vocational Training Certificate. Minimum ADR requirement is Class 2 in Tanks/Packaged Goods. You should be fully conversant with tachographs and driver hour's legislation, in addition to the details contained within Calor's LGV drivers manual. You will need to always demonstrate a high level of safety awareness. Customer focused, you should have a flexible approach to your hours of work and be prepared to work weekends and public holidays as required to meet the needs of the business. We need someone who can deliver top-notch technical work while upholding strict Health & Safety standards for equipment, machines, and tools. Initiative, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of vehicles, trailers, and workshop equipment are a must. Your organizational skills will shine as you maintain clear documentation, records, and meet deadlines. Key responsibilities will include: Carry out general maintenance repair work on the company's fleet of vehicles and trailers. Ensure that all vehicles are in safe working order. Execute all repairs to the highest standards. Conduct in-depth engineering work and diagnostics. Work effectively both independently and within a close-knit team. Carry out all repairs in accordance with current Health and Safety legislation and company policies. Safely operate all relevant equipment, machines, and tools. Complete all associated documentation accurately and in a timely manner. We are seeking candidates who: Hold education to City & Guilds standard in Mechanical Engineering or possess an equivalent engineering discipline. Have previous experience as an HGV Mechanic in a similar role. Preferably hold an HGV C+E licence (Class 1) and a current ADR, although this is not essential. Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of vehicles, trailers, workshop plant, and equipment. Possess the capability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems. Display the ability to multitask and meet key deadlines effectively. Exhibit rigorous fault-finding skills. Have the capability to work independently as well as part of a team. Showcase strong communication skills. Can work effectively under pressure.     Keeping our Customers Safe, Warm, Working and Informed is what we strive for at Calor The Health and Safety team at Calor Gas are looking to recruit an engaging and proactive Process Safety Specialist As a Process Safety Specialist, you willProvide process safety support, expertise and assistance to all operational locations to assist them comply with the Companys Process Safety Policy. Key responsibilities will include: Co-operate fully with the company to fulfil its legal obligations and develop a positive safety culture Assist in running Calors Process Safety audit program at Calors operational sites Assist operational site management to implement safety, process and system improvements Advise, audit and train operational staff on safety matters Assess the effectiveness of the Process Safety systems in place and recommend new or modified measures to ensure that the system is updated and relevant Liaise with the Health and Safety Executive, enforcing authorities and emergency services on general matters of health, safety and environment, specifically as they apply to LPG Review site quality systems with operational managers, to ensure that Calors Process Safety Policy and other safety matters are effectively reflected within the quality system and to ensure site procedures and work instructions contain an appropriate level Review accident and investigation reports and performance with operational managers to ensure learnings are understood and any actions are implemented Investigate process safety accidents and near misses with appropriate operational staff preparing suitable investigation findings that describe the incident, uncover its causes and detail actions and recommendations to prevent re-occurrence Assist Operational and National Engineering staff in carrying out hazard studies (e.g. HAZOP, SWIFT and PHR) Attend operational location HSSE Committees As such we would like you to have/be: Essential Minimum of a City & Guilds qualification but preferably HNC in Chemical, Mechanical or Production Engineering or equivalent NEBOSH Certificate in Process Safety Management (PSM) Specific knowledge of COMAH and HAZID studies, such as HAZOP, SWIFT, PHR Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment Experience of process industries Experience of auditing safety systems Fully conversant with current health, safety and environmental legislation Good Verbal Communication and Interpersonal skills Good Written Communication skills Desirable NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Formal auditing qualification (internal auditing) Experience of the LPG or similar industry Experience of participating in HAZID studies and knowledge of human reliability studies In return, we offer: 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays Holiday Purchase Scheme Private medical insurance (single cover) Company pension scheme (Salary sacrifice - single matched contributions to 4.5% for first 2 years, up to 7.5% after 2 years) Company Bonus Discounts/Cashback/Offers from major retailers If this sounds like you, please apply - we look forward to hearing from you!
