Team Overview Our Private Client team consists of around 35 team members and 4 partners – each with their own specialism. The core of the work focuses on providing clear and practical advice to high-net-worth individuals and their families in the UK and abroad. Assessing the opportunities available to our clients, by helping to structure their affairs to minimise their tax liability and preserve their property for future generations. Role Overview Services provided to our clients ranges from a full service where we provide trust management as well as the preparation of the trust accounts and the trust tax returns. Other clients we provide tax returns only and ad hoc advice when requested to. The team has a strong focus on providing advice to beneficiaries/settlors and trustees of non-UK trusts where there is a UK resident beneficiary and they require assistance in reporting the trust distributions on their tax returns. We also provide a wide range of services to clients dealing with the administration of an estate including probate applications. The main duties of the role will be to manage and grow a portfolio of trust and estate administration clients which include both UK based and non-UK resident trusts/estates. Many of our clients have an international focus and we work closely with advisors in other jurisdictions. In addition, the role will also require the provision of daily, flexible, proactive support to the Partners and Directors, contributing to the efficiency of the team and assisting with training more junior members. The role requires a reliable person who demonstrates a genuine interest in furthering their career in tax, shows a commitment to self-development and an interest in learning from, and supporting, the team. What You’ll Be Doing · Review of the trust/estate accounts and tax returns which have been prepared by the junior team members · Review of Inheritance Tax 10-year anniversary charges and exit charges · Corresponding with trustees, personal representatives and beneficiaries regarding distributions and amounts to be reported on their tax returns · Ensuring that clients are up to date with the details held on HMRC’s Trust Register requirements · Responding to queries raised by trustees/personal representatives on your client portfolio · Liaising with investment managers and HMRC · Assist the Partner/Director group with writing of advisory reports for clients · Providing strategic tax planning advice to trustees, personal representatives and beneficiaries · Provide general assistance and support to the wider team, attend networking events and assist with writing articles. The Transaction Services team works with corporates, private equity and banking clients on their acquisitions, investments, and financing. This position is ideally suited for someone with TS and Data analytic experience who wants to accelerate their career by developing themselves whilst contributing to a growing team. You will be a part of a wider Corporate Finance team including a lead advisory division with a focus on transactions in the 5m to 100m space as well as a valuations team. The Corporate Finance team are all encouraged to leverage off each other’s specialisms and learn and grow together. Role Overview To be responsible for the delivery of financial due diligence and buy / sell-side advisory services to a wide range of clients. Role Overview To provide quality accounting services to clients within the Business Services Team, with a particular focus on FCA-regulated clients and those in the financial services sector. What you'll be doing Managing a growing client portfolio, as well as carry out all accounting work for a wide range of profit-making organisations in accordance with the firm’s and statutory procedures. This will include planning, executing, completing and producing client-ready product independently and with minimum supervision. Prepare management accounts and statutory financial reports, including consolidated accounts, from using computerised accounting systems. Prepare/review VAT Returns, including an understanding of partial exemption rules. Advise on regulatory capital resources. Delegating, supervising, and reviewing the work of junior members of the team, providing constructive feedback and support as necessary, including being involved in development of junior staff.
