The home has good transport links with a regular bus route going to Bromley and Eltham stopping directly outside the home, local train station going into London only a short walk away and, not to mention easy access to the A20.
Elmstead has four comfortable lounges that are ideal forsocialising, relaxing or welcoming visitors. Other facilities include an onsite hairdressing salon and well-maintained gardens that include spacious patio areas, summer house and pond. The home also has visiting chiropodists, opticians and dentists (arrangement by appointment when needed).
The chef takes a personal approach to diet, and meals are catered to individual tastes. There are always cold snacks and alternatives available throughout the day.
There’s a real sense of community at the home. The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests.
Having its own large activities room and dedicated activities team, allows Elmstead to offer a seven-day activities programme. From weekly breakfast club, baking clubs, live entertainment, school half-term family days which involve children from the local community, craft mornings with the local nursery, movement to music and visiting animals to name a few, there is always something going on.
