    Location: Halton Job Type: Temporary Pay Rate: £24.00 per hour Umbrella Start Date: Immediate About the Role We are looking to recruit an experienced Flagger to work with a Housing Association based in Halton. The role will involve preparing and laying paving slabs (flags) and carrying out external paving repairs to a high standard across residential properties and pathways. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Flagger looking for an immediate start on a well-established social housing contract. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for: Preparing and levelling ground surfaces for paving installation Laying flags, paving slabs and other paving materials to a high standard Carrying out repairs and replacements to existing paved areas Ensuring all work is completed in line with specifications and within agreed timescales Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment Delivering excellent workmanship and customer service while working on occupied properties Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates must have: Previous experience in flagging/paving, ideally within the Social Housing sector NVQ qualification in a relevant trade (preferred) Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship Good understanding of construction health and safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team To Apply Please call Lucy from Building Careers UK on 01695 556800 or 07897 069193 . The Role As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions for a diverse range of electrical engineering projects. Working closely with engineering, procurement, commercial, and operational teams, you will ensure tenders are technically compliant, commercially competitive, and delivered to deadline. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for electrical engineering projects. Review tender documentation, specifications, drawings, and client requirements. Complete material, labour, and equipment take-offs. Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations. Develop accurate labour estimates and project cost models. Identify commercial risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions. Liaise with engineering, project management, procurement, and commercial teams throughout the tender process. Attend site surveys, client meetings, and pre-tender visits where required. Ensure all submissions meet technical, commercial, and quality requirements. Maintain estimating databases and historical cost records to support future tenders. About You The successful candidate will ideally have: Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within engineering, construction, utilities, manufacturing, or industrial sectors. Strong knowledge of electrical installations, power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, or industrial electrical works. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation. Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills. Experience using Microsoft Excel and estimating software. Strong communication and organisational skills. The ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively to tight deadlines. Desirable HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Experience working on industrial, process plant, water, energy, nuclear, or COMAH projects. Knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts. Full UK driving licence.
