    p Buckden Partners is currently partnering with a fast-growing specialist property lender to recruit a Portfolio Manager into its London team. /p p br /p p Since launching, the business has deployed over £1.5bn across the UK property market and has built a strong reputation within the specialist lending sector. Backed by significant capital and with an expanding loan book, its an exciting time to join a business thats continuing to grow. /p p br /p p This is a highly commercial, relationship-driven role where youll take ownership of a portfolio of live lending facilities, acting as the key contact for borrowers, brokers and internal stakeholders throughout the life of each loan. /p p br /p p Working closely with Credit, Origination and Senior Leadership, youll be responsible for managing borrower requests, monitoring loan performance, assessing risk and ensuring facilities continue to perform as expected. /p p br /p p The role will include: /p ul li Managing a portfolio of bridging and property-backed lending facilities from completion through to redemption. /li li Building strong relationships with borrowers, brokers and professional advisers. /li li Reviewing extension requests, consents and amendments to existing facilities. /li li Monitoring loan covenants, business plans and exit strategies while identifying and escalating early warning indicators. /li li Preparing credit papers and presenting recommendations for amendments and restructures. /li li Assessing property-related risks including planning, valuations, construction progress and asset performance. /li li Producing portfolio reporting and supporting Credit Committee decisions. /li /ul p br /p p Were looking to speak with candidates who have: /p ul li 4+ years experience within Portfolio Management, Loan Servicing or Asset Management in a real estate lending environment. /li li Strong knowledge of UK property finance, bridging or specialist lending. /li li Experience managing live loan portfolios and supporting borrowers throughout the loan lifecycle. /li li A commercial mindset with the confidence to assess risk, challenge where appropriate and build strong client relationships. /li li Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. /li /ul p br /p p This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing lender where youll have genuine exposure to high-value property transactions, work closely with senior decision-makers and play a key role in the ongoing management of an expanding loan portfolio. /p Read Less

Essential Skills/ Qualifications • GCSE pass in Mathematics and English (evidence will be required) • Self-motivated with ability to prioritise own workloads; • Strong communication skills both written and verbal; • Good inter-personal skills with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a larger team and with external parties; • Attention to detail; • Analytical and able to solve problems; • Accustomed to using own initiative and be proactive; • Good negotiating and influencing skills; and • Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications. • Experience of the Financial Services industry and supporting regulations including Consumer Duty (CD), Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) is preferred however training will be given where required.
