What the job involves: You will be responsible for ensuring that all the company’s inventory records are timely and accurately recorded. Executing warehouse activities relating to goods receipt, goods put away, order picking, packing and shipping. Responsible for maintaining high standards of housekeeping to ensure that the area of goods in and warehouse locations are kept clean, safe and tidy.
Essential Criteria: Previous supervisory or deputy background. Previous background working in a busy warehouse environment. Background in receipt, dispatch and warehouse related administration. Background in use of automated stores systems. Working to high levels of health and safety standards. Computer literate - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet and ability to effectively utilise in-house databases/WHS systems/ERP. Proven ability to identify, implement and maintain Continuous Improvement activities targeting 'Waste' as defined by Lean/Six Sigma methodology following BPS (Bucher Production System).
Desirable Attributes: The ability of working with automotive parts aftersales. Previous background of SAP MM/IM. Forklift truck licence - Counterbalance or Reach (or ability & willingness to train).
