    The role: Cyber Security Engineer - Cloud Security

    Our cyber security engineers build and develop the technical security solutions that keep our airline and our customers safe from cyber-attack. Working with BA colleagues around the world, you'll create and maintain capabilities that meet our requirements and our threats. You will report into our Cyber Security Engineering Principal - Cloud and Connect.

    What you'll do:
    Design and build security tools and capabilities to mitigate threats to British Airways, wherever they originate. Align with threat and risk led strategy that enables BA to focus on what matters, while minimising overheads. Maintain a working understanding of modern attacker techniques and procedures, ensuring that existing and future tools and capabilities are effective and proportionate. Proactive assessment of existing technical landscape on a continuous basis ensuring ongoing effective protection. Keeping up to date with industry trends and developments to ensure that future technologies are ready to adopt as they become mature. Develop an understanding of the functions within the broader organisation and their respective priorities and needs. Use this understanding to ensure that needs are met.
    What you'll bring to British Airways:
    Highly analytical, demonstrating a methodical and structured approach with high attention to detail. Excellent communicator, taking complex technical issues and making them approachable to all stakeholders Ability to review and security reference architectures, patterns and guidance. Ability to recognise priorities and guide others towards the accomplishment of strategic business goals and objectives Keen to learn new technologies Strong understanding of cyber security processes, people and technology.     Your experience:
    Strong background using Cloud Security Posture Management services e.g. AWS Security Hub, Defender for Cloud, Crowdstrike CSPM is essential. Working knowledge of cloud providers such as AWS / Azure and their respective security services is also essential. Knowledge of other security tools e.g. MS Defender, Akamai, Sentinel Ability to understand and develop coding languages such as Terraform, Python & KQL (or similar) Recognised cyber security certifications or qualifications (desirable). Experience with NIST (or similar) security framework(s).

    The role:
    Cyber Delivery Assurance Analyst

    You'll be part of BA Digital, supporting the Cyber Delivery Assurance function to embed security by design across product delivery. This area plays a vital role in ensuring cyber security policies and standards are consistently applied across all releases and ongoing maintenance, helping to protect the airline and its customers.

    What you'll do:

    The role

    Product Analyst

    As a Product Analyst within Operations Decision Support, you'll play a key role in driving product success by using data, user insight and technical understanding to shape product decisions and measure impact.

    This is a hands-on role embedded within the product team. You'll work closely with Product Managers, engineers, UX and system integrators, owning discovery, backlog shaping and continuous optimisation to ensure digital tools and systems deliver measurable business value.

    Principal Product Data Scientist

    You'll be part of the Operations Delivery Intelligence (ODI) directorate, working within integrated operations product squads to build and embed industrialised decision-support software products. This area plays a critical role in improving operational outcomes by applying advanced machine learning and optimisation techniques to real-world decision-making challenges across the airline.

    What you'll do:
    Act as the technical owner of one or more production-grade data science product codebases Lead the end-to-end delivery of decision-support software across the full product lifecycle Understand complex operational business problems end to end and identify opportunities for data-driven optimisation Drive modelling and system design decisions, balancing implementation time, system behaviour, technical debt and business value Prototype, build and deliver industrialised machine learning and optimisation models in Python Design and build robust data ingestion, cleaning and processing pipelines Implement orchestration pipelines and CI/CD deployment processes Ensure software quality through logging, error handling and automated testing Harden algorithms against operational and data edge cases Quantify product adoption and value capture Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback Contribute to feature prioritisation and roadmap discussions Support integration of decision-support products into operational business processes Communicate modelling approaches, trade-offs and results clearly to technical and business audiences Mentor and support junior team members Contribute to agile ways of working, including Git versioning, code reviews and delivery predictability
    What you'll bring to British Airways:
    Expert capability in applied machine learning, optimisation and operational research techniques Strong Python expertise with experience delivering production-quality data science software Experience working with cloud platforms and modern ML tooling Strong software engineering discipline including testing, CI/CD and version control Ability to structure complex business and technical problems and propose pragmatic solutions Clear communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences Collaborative working style with a focus on continuous improvement Systems-thinking mindset with attention to detail Curiosity, resilience and adaptability in fast-moving environments Strong commitment to delivering measurable business value
    Your experience:
