  About the Role:
  You'll be responsible for the planning and teaching of small-group lessons, primarily to primary-aged children, with some adult beginner sessions. We're proud to offer a calm, supportive learning environment that focuses on steady progress, water safety, and building lifelong swimming skills all within a beautiful private pool setting.

  Youll thrive in this role if you are:

  • A qualified swim instructor with previous teaching experience (SEQ Level 2 or equivalent)
  • Warm, patient, and great with kids (and their parents!)
  • Have confidence planning and teaching lessons
  • Available weekday afternoons between 3pm and 8pm
  • Reliable access to a vehicle

  Further information regarding the role:

  Responsibilities

  • Conduct swimming lessons for groups, tailoring instruction to meet the needs of each swimmer.
  • Educate students on water safety, swimming techniques, and personal fitness.
  • Develop lesson plans that promote skill progression while maintaining an engaging atmosphere.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
  • Ensure the safety of all participants during lessons by adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the swimming area and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with students and their parents regarding progress and any concerns.

  Skills

  • Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching swimming is highly desirable.
  • Strong ability to educate and motivate students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Knowledge of water safety practices and first aid/CPR certification.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards teaching others.
