This person will also be expected to play a key role in leading the professional development of our colleagues to support them in delivering the best teaching and support for our students. We are seeking aptitude, experience and adaptability and the determination to advocate for all children experiencing social, emotional, behavioural or learning challenges across all stages of the College. You will: Determine the strategic development of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) policy and provision in the secondary phase Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies Have strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice Be an excellent communicator with a collaborative approach Share our commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing This role is ideal for an experienced middle leader or an aspiring leader ready for their next challenge.
