GP Surgery / Primary Care About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join a friendly and well-established GP Surgery in Worcester. Serving a patient population of approximately 6,000 patients, the practice prides itself on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive and collaborative environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a nurse looking to develop their career within Primary Care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities As a Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for: Delivering childhood and adult immunisations Administering travel vaccinations Running health promotion and wellbeing clinics Undertaking cervical screening (smears) Ear care and irrigation Phlebotomy and venepuncture Wound care and dressings ECG recording Suture removal Assessing and managing minor illnesses within your scope of practice Supporting minor surgery clinics Providing emergency care when required, including CPR and anaphylaxis management Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring compliance with clinical governance standards Supporting quality improvement initiatives and practice development Essential Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have: ? Registered Nurse (RGN) qualification with current NMC registration ? Minimum 2 years' post-registration experience ? Previous experience working within a GP Surgery, Primary Care, or Community setting ? Experience managing chronic diseases within Primary Care ? Competency in: Immunisations Cervical Screening (Smears) Ear Care Phlebotomy ? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ? Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently ? A proactive and patient-focused approach to care Desirable Skills ? Diabetes Management experience ? Minor Illness assessment and treatment experience ? Experience supporting long-term condition management clinics What's on Offer?
