    About the roleThe Collections Storage Facility is part of Collections Management within the Bodleian Libraries, supporting access to Oxford’s library collections through specialist storage, retrieval and delivery services. This role sits within the CSF team based in Swindon. You will support the day to day operations of the Collections Storage Facility by flexibly carrying out a range of warehouse, retrieval, refiling and delivery tasks in response to customer demand. You will retrieve, process, scan and re-shelve library material, operate manual handling equipment including high and low level order pickers, and support accessioning of new material into the facility. You will also drive the delivery vehicle to transport requested items between Swindon and Oxford, following designated routes and University procedures. You will work safely at all times, following manual handling guidance, wearing personal protective equipment when required, and reporting any equipment faults or incidents promptly. You will contribute to maintaining high standards of collection care and customer service, responding courteously to enquiries and contributing ideas for service improvement. This is a permanent, full-time position working 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12pm to 8pm. About You You will have experience working in a warehouse or similar operational environment and be comfortable working at height and carrying out regular manual handling. You will be able to locate items accurately using numerical sequences and operate manual handling equipment, with training provided where required. You will hold a valid full driving licence and be confident driving a delivery vehicle as part of your role. You will work flexibly, adapting to changing priorities and tasks in response to customer demand, and you will contribute positively as a reliable and supportive team member. You will handle materials with care, demonstrate attention to detail, and have experience providing good customer service. You will also be comfortable using IT systems, including email, and approach your work with a practical and flexible mindset.     THIS VACANCY IS FOR INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY THIS POST COULD BE CONSIDERED AS A SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY  About the Role  The Sustainable Digital Scholarship service sits within the Bodleian Libraries and supports researchers and GLAM staff across the University to ensure the long-term sustainability of digital research projects. The service works closely with a wide range of academic and professional services colleagues, particularly those engaged in digital humanities research and practice. You will support the work of the Sustainable Digital Scholarship service, working closely with the SDS team and project staff to improve the digital sustainability of a diverse portfolio of research projects. Much of this work will involve supporting the migration and management of projects on the Sustainable Digital Scholarship repository, using a platform based on Figshare technology. You will contribute to the administration of the service, help manage workflows for projects requiring digital sustainability support, monitor and coordinate the pipeline of projects planned for migration, and liaise with academic and professional services colleagues across the Humanities Division and GLAM. This is a fixed-term post until 30 November 2026, working part time for 15 hours per week. The anticipated working pattern is two days per week. The role can be undertaken on a hybrid or fully remote basis. About You  You will have a first undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, together with relevant experience supporting academics, researchers, or similar colleagues. You will demonstrate an understanding of approaches to ensuring the long-term sustainability of digital projects, or the willingness and ability to develop this knowledge. You will be able to organise and prioritise your work effectively, delivering to agreed schedules and standards, and you will have excellent communication skills. Within this context, the Resource Discovery department plays a key role in ensuring collections are discoverable to our library users. You will work as part of the Foreign Languages Cataloguing Team, creating high-quality catalogue records for monographs in Western and Eastern European languages through copy and original cataloguing. You will catalogue a wide range of material, including bibliographically complex items, applying Library of Congress Subject Headings and classification schemes, alongside relevant in-house standards. You will contribute to the distribution of materials across the Libraries, respond to reader and staff queries, and support projects that improve workflows and services. Full training in cataloguing and classification will be provided. This role involves regular manual handling, including moving books using trolleys and physical aids. This is a permanent, full-time post, working 36.5 hours per week.
