We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to sit within a key team to resolve, repair issues and maintain equipment in our Bedford DC.This is a full time position and is a 6 months secondment, working alongside the Site Operations team and report to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager.
Sunday - Thursday 10:00am - 18:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
•Setting and maintaining high standards across all site facilities.
•Collaborating with third-party contractors to ensure timely and effective repairs.
•Supporting the implementation of a new Computerised Maintenance Management System (Zoidii).
•Ensuring compliance with national standards and specifications.
•Carrying out planned maintenance tasks and ensuring schedules are followed.
•Responding swiftly to breakdowns, communicating clearly, and resolving issues efficiently.
•Assisting with quotes, project work, and general equipment upkeep.
•Driving continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sharing feedback.
Skills and Experience:
•A trade qualification at Level 2 or higher (e.g. plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
•Engineering qualification or experience.
•Experience in setting and upholding site standards.
•Hands-on experience with warehouse maintenance including: Racking, dock doors, lifting systems, sprinklers, lighting, power distribution, plumbing, joinery and general repairs.
•Skilled in using power and hand tools in an industrial environment.
•Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
•Excellent communication skills, both within the team and across operations.
