This is a hands-on role, so you'll be comfortable working alongside your team, supporting wherever needed, and leading by example. The details Salary: £25,550 - £26,950 Hours: 36.5 per week with a clear and predictable rota Shifts: 8am-4pm or 12pm-8pm - giving you the ability to plan your time outside of work Weekends: Only 1 per month Contract: Temp to perm - giving you the chance to see if the role is right for you before committing Day-to-day responsibilities As a Team Leader, you'll be responsible for managing a team of up to 9 people, ensuring everyone understands their duties and the operation runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include: Managing rotas and holiday schedules (experience with Pro Wizard is a bonus) Staff supervision and support Food safety and allergen compliance Ordering and stock control Delivering high levels of customer service Making day-to-day operational decisions Acting up in the absence of the Catering Coordinators What kind of person fits here? This role suits someone who genuinely cares about the standards of a business and takes pride in leaving things better than they found them. You're the kind of person who walks onto the floor and immediately understands what's needed: A queue building up? You'll adjust the team. Service slowing down? You'll step in. Kitchen needs support? You're happy to help. You're comfortable wearing many hats and making sure everything runs smoothly, even in a fast-paced environment. Technical experience is important - but just as important is your ability to lead from the front, build strong relationships, and maintain high standards throughout service. Why join? This is a genuinely supportive team where people stay long-term - the General Catering Manager has been with the business for over 20 years. They're looking for someone who shares that same passion for great food, strong teamwork, and excellent customer service.
