As Senior Project Manager - Grid you’ll focus on grid services within EMEA, leading all aspects of medium to large projects with multiple clients, managing and leading teams of multi-discipline professionals and coordinating the activities of all third-party companies contributing to the project delivery. This role can be based at our offices in London (preferred) or Glasgow city centres in the United Kingdom. We work hybrid, 3 days per in the office and 2 days from home.
    Some travel throughout the EMEA region to project/client sites and BV offices will be required. #LI-JF1Key Responsibilities You’ll be accountable for: • Managing risks related to cost, schedule, and quality throughout the full project lifecycle
    • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, safety standards, and client satisfaction
    • Overseeing the day-to-day execution of projects, including financial metrics, planning, scheduling, and staffing
    • Coordinating technical requirements relating to grid and substation projects
    • Obtaining new/repeat business and supporting contract negotiationsManagement Responsibilities Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project.Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
    • Significant experience in grid and/or substation projects within the UK and wider EMEA region
    • Proven background or managing and leading teams of multi-discipline professionals

    Job Summary Due to continued growth, Black & Veatch are looking to add an Engineering Manager with an electrical background, design and engineering experience to our EMEA team. The role will primarily involve coordinating and managing projects related to Grid, Substation, and the Balance of Plant for BESS projects, across Medium and High Voltage projects. The Opportunity As the Sr. Project Engineering Manager you’ll manage execution of the engineering components of multiple projects throughout the EMEA region, focused on Grid, Substation and BESS projects of varying size and complexity. You will have the opportunity to: Lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians on projects. Supervise and mentor engineering staff, identifying developmental growth opportunities. Manage budgets, scheduling, and correspondence with clients and project management in support of proposals and projects. This role is based in our Glasgow, UK office with some travel to project sites, client or other B&V offices.
