Duties and responsibilities: Ensure effective liaison with the Board of Directors and group operating companies on all HR matters, offering reliable HR support to both local and overseas management and staff. Provide comprehensive and current people resource information to the Board of Directors and regional management teams. Support the Board of Directors and senior managers on potential HR issues. Advise the Board of Directors and line management on salaries and salary reviews to ensure market parity and compatibility within and between Dorking-based operating companies. Work with regional Managing Directors to ensure sufficient and appropriate staff resources are available to meet the strategic needs of the business. The projects involve the construction of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, pipelines, and reservoirs. Each project is valued at over $100 million and is fully financed, supported by sovereign guarantees. The candidate will be based at Biwater’s head office in Dorking, Surrey, UK, and must be able to travel internationally and work closely with overseas colleagues, providing project and engineering expertise. The role also involves overseeing project controls critical to safeguarding the company’s interests. This includes accurately presenting the company’s position, meeting contractual obligations, and optimising profitability on negotiated turnkey projects, concessions, or other contract forms within the water industry.
