We’re looking for a detail-driven and proactive Development Coordinator to join our Food Development Team.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on organisation, data accuracy, and has a passion for food and innovation. You’ll play a key role in supporting the development of new and existing products by managing ingredient data, recipes, nutritional and allergen information, and supplier communications – helping us bring great food to life across our business.We Offer:Rate: £32,000 per annumShifts: Mon- Fri/ 8am - 5amContract: Full Time/ PermanentAbout the role:To Capture and process new information key to the development of new products and existing products including recipes , ingredient changes, allergen, nutritional and commercials predominantly through Nutritics.To help manage and extract information from Supplier Product specificationsMaintenance of the Online Development Database (Nutritics) with new ingredients and recipes inputted.Calculation of nutritional and allergen information using the database on both new products and existing products subject to any changes.Ownership of the Development costing module and its maintenance. To carry out costings on all new products and existing products subject to any changes. To maintain other key areas of the development function which require the capture and processing of information. Including changes to menus, till updates for new lines, and supporting documents such as recipe cards.To assist in checking labels and other artwork where product development are the owners of the detailTo communicate with key contacts at our suppliers to request samples and to acquire any information needed to perform administration tasks outlined above, be it product specs, pricing etc.To assist in the development of any new processes and procedures that will aid the development function and better support our shops and help our customers alike.Research into new food trends and recipes to support the creative side of the development team.To assist with work in the kitchen and training when required including planning and ordering of ingredients.To assist in the development of new computer based working methods and customer facing documents, including concept and data presentations that are shown to the wider team.Undertake projects as directed by the Head of Food DevelopmentTo identify and implement potential improvements to the development system.Undertake competitor analysis as required. Record and maintenance of information on the appropriate forms.
Qualifications
Strong Computer literacy is essential with sound working knowledge of Microsoft Packages including Outlook, Word and Excel and ideally Nutritics.Excellent communication and organisational skillsExperience of developing new computer based working methods via word, excel and PowerPoint.A highly motivated person, a self-starter with high energy and able to manage their own workload.Able to work to tight timescales, a finisher.A passion for food would be desirable as the role could develop into a more hands on creative positon as the business grows.
