As a thriving business, we are proud to offer our colleagues stability and the promise of long-term future working.As our new Technical Administrator you will support the Technical Department in the management of customer and supplier data, including customer specification platforms, key quality assurance information management systems and any additional tasks deemed necessary to achieve this.In this role you will manage the quality complaints process, in regards to the technical department’s requirements, including feedback to site process teams. You will also support and take an active role in Technical Project work.To be successful in this role it will be essential that you have a Food Science Degree or equivalent. Experience with retail specification systems, such as APP and ORBC, would be an advantage.If you are numerate and literate, competent with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint then this could be the role for you.Main duties will include:Completing relevant data analysis and reporting of that analysis to the relevant departments.Investigate and respond to complaints, and to communicate corrective actions, in conjunction with the QA Manager, to the relevant site team(s)Managing customer specification systems.Completing customer SAQ’s and QAS’sAssisting/ supporting the department with 2nd and 3rd party audits of the sitesConducting internal audits as assignedAttending relevant meetings and to record / distribute minutesAssisting the department in the maintenance of relevant QMS/HMS systems, where requiredTo conduct traces and Mass Balances as assignedUndertaking and completing any reasonable requests from the Head of Technical / QA Manager Our ideal candidate:Reliable and conscientiousHave effective planning and organisation skills and ability to prioritiseEffective communication skillsWorks in accurate/logical/methodical mannerDemonstrates clear communication skills both verbal and written at all levelsProactive, positive and can do approachEffective problem solving skillsEffective analytical skillsPositive leadership and influencing skillsContinually challenges / drives standards forwardHigh standard of technical knowledge, including HACCPGood working knowledge of UK/EU legislative requirements in food manufacturingGood understanding of industry standards and customer codes of practiceExperience in specification systemsTeam Player but can work autonomouslyPersonable and approachableCapable and confidence of working with minimum supervisionInternal Auditing Experience (Not essential)Excellent IT SkillsExperience in Food Manufacturing is desiredWhat we can offer you:Salary £34,979.0933 days’ holiday including bank holidays, with an option to buy up to 5 extra daysMonday to Friday hoursAccess to GroceryAid providing emotional, practical and financial support
